Incredible documentary about the Lego toy company and the Lego culture that exists throughout the world. For both children and adults. There are some incredibly talented master builders out there, many of which were hired by Lego or had their unique designs picked up by Lego and built by the company. Fascinating stuff. Read more
I grew up with LEGOs and played for endless hours. It is amazing the imprint LEGO has on the world. It talks about its history, the mathematical genius of the interlocking system of the brick, tradeshows, contests, licensing, off-branded accessories, still animation movie shorts, and how it is used to help kids with social issues. It is an amazing toy and your imagination is sky's the limit with it. It is a great documentary to watch. Narrated by Jason Bateman. This is the most informative documentary available about the brick we all love. I've been a fan my entire 42 years and I learned a lot I didn't know. Jason Bateman was the perfect choice as narrator. This is a must see for any fan or parent of a fan. It's a Lego World y'all! Read more
I have an 8 year old Autistic Lego fan, and he has rented this from the Family Video at least a dozen times in the last year. I finally decided to buy it so he could have it whenever he wants. Its so informative, interesting for kids, even neurotypical kids who just like legos. He wants to be a lego engineer when he grows up... or a pizza maker, so ya know, this dvd has been great in fueling his passion even more for his lego obsession. Read more
I watched this after THROUGHLY ENJOYING watching Lego Masters. This was wonderful to see the accidental history, how it almost wasnt, how it almost died, and why it still kicks ass. Tinker Toys still suck, except they were flamable. We used to play Carnival Hell Lawsuit; Tinker Toys and lighter fluid. Do not try this at home. Read more

I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. I learned that I am an afol (adult fan of Legos) and that there are a ton of adults who are builders just like me. I did not know about the conventions but my daughter-in-law who is a new afol is going to one this week-end and I cannot wait to hear about it. I love the fact that the company respects its amateur builders and listens to them. I wish all companies did this. This will be interesting to a Lego fan. Read more
If I can fault the Documentary for anything, it does not go into enough detail about the LEGO Company itself. They do talk about a number of things regarding the company, but it seemed to be mostly focused around what people are doing with their product. Given, their product is about what other people do with it, so they needed to put attention on it, but they went overboard in that regard. I guess it would be too boring if they were purely about the historical events. Still, I DID like seeing the different aspects of creativity they demonstrated, and there is some amazing stuff in here. I even got to see a few acquaintances in there (HI JOE MENO! HIIII!!).
