Perfect resting place for my pleco to sleep. My other fish enjoy swimming through it and hanging out under or on top of the tunnel. Functional with the suction cups staying up and sturdy in place. My pleco sucks on it sometimes and the color stays the same I have multiple colors, which I enjoy and go well in my color scheme. The container it comes in is great for storing other small items! The Abizoo Betta Fish Tunnel is an excellent item for your Betta. This item was delivered to me on January 23 (so I had this for around two months now), and is still in good condition. As shown in my photos, my Betta, Aleister, enjoys it. When he wants to rest or sleep, that is his go-to spot. Pros: - I have a 2.6 Fluval Tank, so the tunnel size is perfect for me. I stick it to the back of the tank near the surface so Aleister does not need to swim out to get some air. The decorated holes are a nice touch, too, as it does not entirely reveal Aleister (which makes him feel safe). - It is simple to clean. I run it under some cold water and then dry it off. - The tunnel sticks to the side of the tank reasonably well. Sometimes, I have to press against it to make it stick harder to the glass, but it always sticks right back to it. Cons: - The color is starting to chip off in some areas, but barely noticeable. However, I am just worried about the pieces that did fall off, scattering into the water and contaminating it (or Aleister ends up eating it). - The suction tends to grow loose, making the tunnel slide a bit down the tank. - The pricing of this tunnel is a bit expensive. Then, add on the shipping taxes. Recommendations: - Adding more color options. While I like the colors already provided, having a wide array of dark and light-colored tunnels would be great. If there were darker-colored tunnels, tanks with live plants and decorations would look more natural. - Different hole patterns. Instead of the hexagon-like holes, there could be variations. For instance, circle holes, square holes, holes on only the sides of the tunnel or the top and bottom, etc. Conclusion: If you are looking for a small, straightforward hiding spot item for your fish, this product is for you. Although there are limited color options, it is an excellent touch to your tank and adds a safe and secure presence for your fish. Read more
This product actually makes an effective filter baffle. My betta resides in a 10-gallon aquarium that came with a filter (we are working on a completely plant-filtered tank...not there yet). The filter current is too strong. So, I suction-cupped this tunnel horizontally under the filter waterfall. My betta (Coconut) is pleased with this adjustment. Read more
My betta started hiding too well in middle of tank. I was afraid she was “missing” or being harassed. Thought about picking up some special places for her so she could feel safe and yet be seen and enjoyed. Bought a tunnel and installed on side of tank with the plants and here she is just a day or two later! Oh, and the albino catfish enjoy it also. I specially bought blue to match my betta because I read they like that. So it’s nice having the color choices. Read more
My betta loves this thing! Always hiding in it. When he got sick and was having buoyancy issues he used this quite a bit to rest on. He also just sleeps on or in it depending on his mood. Read more
