Great game and accessible for all skill levels

James WOctober 26, 2025

I’m a big fan of both beat-em-ups and roguelites, so this was a no brainer. This game is brutally difficult, but theres sliders to adjust your damage taken/given to soften it up for people like me whose skill and capability are…questionable. I really appreciate that you still make a bit of progress every run. You don’t need to make it to a checkpoint to get your oh-so-valuable crystals back to home base for those permanent upgrades. My only complaint is that the offensive move sets are fairly limited, and the game has quite a bit of focus on defense. Some abilities like double jumping are also random drops during your run, which I don't really care for. I think a number of these and offensive move drops should be permanent upgrades. It’s not a big enough dealbreaker for me to knock off a star, maybe a half, but thats not an option here. All in all, it’s an addictive genre blending and well worth the release day price for me. The first Rogue-Em-Up

Lou G.October 29, 2025

This game combines a beatemup, which is a genre near and dear to me, with a Rogue lite, which is not usually my taste. But this game does those two things brilliantly. If you like a good beatemup the combat will satisfy you, and the roguelite elements along with a continuosly evolving storyline and map will make each run vastly different and challenging. The music is epic with some noteworthy guest composers, and there's some quality voice acting too. Highly recommended. Read more
