I've never had problems with ACDelco batteries. Never. Even the ones considered "budget" batteries always had a great initial capacity, great quality and lifespan. My last 2 ACDelco Silver non AGM batteries lasted 6+years in my work van and family SUV. This Gold series AGM is no different. Great quality as usual. And it's made in Germany! It was delivered in a great, sturdy cardboard box with excellent spray foam protection. Even if it was dropped nothing would happen to it. I don't get why people are complaining about battery being "delivered upside-down". This is non spill battery! Nothing to complain about. One thing I definitely recommend before installation is charging. Doesn't matter what voltage you getting with your tester. Even if it's 13+ volts just put it on low amp(1.5-2A) charge overnight. You will thank me later. Slow initial charging to full capacity will greatly improve longevity and will ensure you get maximum from your investment. I'm speaking from personal experience. Went to start my truck, couldnt even open the door...battery completely dead after truck sat for 3 days. Brought to autozone. They got it to initially charge, but the Battery is junk 6 months later, wont hold the charge. I think he said crank charge (I'm no expert in batteries) ...no way to return?! I'm seeing a lot of others with same issue. Save yourself the hassle and pay the extra 50 bucks and get it from Walmart or auto zone or wherever. UPDATE!!! So apparently the return process goes through ac delco, not amazon. I called yesterday, got the information, sent the information, this morning, I got a tracking number for the replacement battery. I decided to replace my batter in my 2016 car. It was not giving me any trouble at all, nor was it showing any signs it might by slowing down. But working on cars for 30 years, I know better. So, I went and got the AC Gold. I do not get anything less when I buy batters. It has to be the highest. Install took maybe about 20 minutes because it is in the trunk. Weird I know. I took this batter and put it in her younger brother. So, I am hoping to get some more mileage out of it. But 9 years, almost 10 is not bad at all for a battery. Especially sitting through several winters outside. I got this batter because it has more CCA power. Especially in the wintertime, it is nice to have some security your battery will make it. The price on batteries is a rip off. Like I said, I have been working on cars for years. And of all the parts you can get for your car, the battery's price as gone up the most. Read more

1. The Packaging - Upon opening the carton, the battery was in upside down. The exposed bottom was dirty. There were multiple, dents and gashes in the battery case. As thin as they make the lead plates nowadays, the risk of life shortening damage is ever present and impossible to detect. The small parts bag (red positive terminal cover) was missing. Examination of the carton revealed that the bottom had broken open and its contents had fallen out. Originally it had been taped with only clear tape. There was wear on the bottom of the carton indicating it had been slid around and that made the tape even weaker. See photo. Why in the world they would they not use strapping tape on something this heavy and dense? This is the manufacturer's fault more than the shipping company. They have to know this is inadequate. Can't return it. I'm stuck with it. 2. The handles - My battery is located in the trunk of my Chrysler 300. The OEM battery has a single robust handle. It can be taken in an out with one hand while using your other hand to steady yourself. while bending over. The AC Delco has 2 super wimpy handles and you must use both hands on the battery while awkwardly bending over. You have to be careful not to fall or throw out your back. I used an old 5 gallon bucket handle to lower it in place. 3. The vents - This battery has two vents and neither is plugged. There are no vent plugs (nor an elbow) in the small parts bag. I had to take the plug out of my old battery. How much longer as American consumers are we going to tolerate manufacturers and sellers constantly lowering the bar for themselves? Read more

Great battery, it said it would fit in a 2019 jeep grand Cherokee (it doesn’t) at least not using the factory brackets that are used to hold The battery down. This I think is more of an Amazon issue than the company’s recommendation. I was ultimately able to get it secured and it just barely fit (I’m talking within 1-2mm). The battery itself was amazing, I would highly recommend this battery for any automotive replacements. Just double check with the manufacturer the correct size. Read more
