Originally I wanted a glass coffee table.But then I began to worry about my three year old nephew and how he might somehow injure himself. Then, I found this acrylic table, which I liked even better than the original one I had chosen. When this arrived, I had 2 friends help me put it together. If you worry about plexiglass, being scratched during the packing or shipping process be assured that this thing was safer than Fort Knox! 20 minutes to unwrap, 10 to put together. This clear acrylic coffee table is really nice! It's a great fit for my compact L shaped couch. The scallped edges and bubble legs are so cute and look really nice with my beach-themed decor. Allembly was a cinch. The hardest part for me was literally removing it from all the packaging. That being said, it was very well packaged and protected with foam wrap and stretch wrap, but being that the pieces are so big, unromming them out of the foam and then trying to get all the clear plastic cling wrap off was a whole thing. I was doing it alone while seated on the floor and I feel like it would have gone much smoother if I had a second pair of hands. Once removed from the packaging, the legs just screw right together and hold the table tops into place. Like I said- assembly super easy, unboxing... quite challenging for me. I think it took my 4x as long to unbox the thing than to assemble it! I wasn't sure at first I would like having a coffee table taking up space, but because this one is clear, it doesn't make the room feel too much smaller. It's also been really nice to have something to set my laptop and stuff on while I'm working on the couch. Overall I'm super happy with the quality and having a coffee table in general is really growing on me. **After a few weeks of use, I would like to note that the acrylic does scratch easily. I haven’t put much on the table other than my laptop and some dishes, but there are now several scratches in the top.
