I love these solar lights for our backyard gazebo. It is far enough away from the house that we don’t have electricity available and I didn’t want to install a new circuit. These worked great to illuminate the 12x16 gazebo area. They are bright enough for our purposes but not as bright as standard electric cafe lights. My only complaint is that they turn on automatically every night as dusk. We don’t use our gazebo all the time so I’d rather have the charge stored for when I need it. The media could not be loaded. ***Update*** I really wanted to give these another chance before I sent them back because absolutely loved them out of the box. I thought I’d give it one more try and put the solar panel in DIRECT light where the sun would not fall in shadow from it. It now gets about 6-7 hours of direct, bright, unfiltered light and they are working phenomenally again. I’m sure this seems obvious but I did originally have the panel in a bright spot but throughout the day, sun would become filtered. If you can’t place the panel in direct light like this, then they may not work for you. If you are having any issues like I was, definitely try to move the panel to a sunnier place and see if that helps. So I am keeping them because they are great! I attached a new photo of the lights to show how bright they are. A user named Sally left a review that said: “Lights worked for 2 days now they won't stay on. Super disappointed. They'll work on the flicker mode, but all other modes they work for 1 split second then they turn right off.” I am currently having the same issue! They worked beautifully for 2 days. I loved them so much that I recommended them (and sent the Amazon link) to my mom, sister and friend!! Now I am on night 3 and they will not turn on although I live in Las Vegas and the sun is at maximum brightness right now in May. So what gives? I plugged them into a usb figuring I’d go that route and they only turn on for one second and turn off again! I am so happy that I saved the box because I am returning them tomorrow. These are perfect to put in a small area such as over a child's house. Mounting was easy and the solar power seems to work great. They are night crazy bright but adequate for accent lighting. The lights are good enough. However I would not use the screws there provided from mounting the bracket. They strip out pretty easily. And even though it says tangle resistant, it took a while to untangle them for installation. Read more

Lights and solar panel work good, remote controls the on and off also the different light modes. Light produces a nice soft glow, but at its highest setting isn't very bright. I strung these lights under the roof of a 15x12 porch and it gives me a nice soft, romantic glow. I will still have to install another light to give me enough light to grill. Read more
