Great fit for the court and look great!

These shoes look awesome and have a comfortable snug fit on my feet, which is great for tennis and pickleball. Can wait to get on the court. Thank you! Read more

Stable court shoe

I purchased these as a dedicated court shoe. Unfortunately for me the shoes have a painful pressure point on my little toe FYI for buyers these shoes have a hole in the boot on of the sole for ventilation. I would not recommend them for use in the rain. Read more

Finally Tried “Real” Tennis Shoes And I’m Not Going Back

These adidas Barricade 14s are my first real tennis shoes, and I get it now. They are on a completely different level from the regular sneakers I had been wearing. I actually bought these after my daughter raved about her adidas Avacourt tennis shoes. We have always loved playing as a family, but we were never too serious. Now that our 11 year old is playing more regularly, the rest of us are stepping up our gear too, and these were a great upgrade. The quality is exactly what you would hope for from adidas. They look great on the court, feel solid in the hand, and the build is clearly made for the kind of start and stop movement tennis demands. The arch support is excellent. My feet are not aching and I am blister-free after playing for a couple of hours outdoors or at our local club, which is a big difference compared to playing in standard running shoes or casual sneakers. They aren't lightweight, but they aren't heavy either. They are sturdy without feeling like bricks on your feet. I can move, stop, and change direction with confidence, and the grip feels very secure. So far they are holding up really well to frequent play and do not show much wear yet. Fit is comfortable and supportive. They feel snug in a good way, with enough structure to keep your foot stable without feeling trapped. Price wise, they are right where you would expect for a specialized tennis shoe. Considering the quality, comfort, and durability, I feel like they are a fair value and worth the investment if you are playing regularly. If you are thinking about getting serious tennis shoes for the first time, I definitely recommend these. They have made playing more comfortable and more enjoyable, and I wish I had made the switch sooner. Read more

Great fit, very comfortable, good support, great grip!

I really like these sneakers. As you can tell, I have very big feet, so it's rare that I can find good sneakers and shoes. Well, these are all that I'm looking for. With big feet, I'm also quite tall, so I really need strong support for my arches, and these sneakers work for that wonderfully. The acid test for the sneakers is my twice-weekly table tennis evenings. How do they work to grip the floor, and to permit good foot work? Well, these sneakers passed that test with flying colors. Though I'm tall, my mobility is not as good as it was when I was a lot younger. Hence, I need to be able to pivot more, and NOT slip at all on the floor. I need to be able to move with confidence on the occasionally slippery floor of our venue. Well, I learned very early in the evening that I could move with complete confidence in these sneakers., which was the most important thing. Easy, comfortable movement, without risk of slipping! If YOU play table tennis, then you know how important both your footwork, and your confidence in your footwork, are to the success of your game. Both in being able to position yourself for a given shot, and in being able to react to your opponent's shots. You don't want to have to concentrate on treading carefully, or else risk slipping and falling as you play the very fast-paced game that my friends and I play! These adidas sneakers passed all those tests with flying colors, and I'll be buying more of them when these wear out. Recommended. Read more

That is not a Wide shoe.

These shoes seems to have great craftsmanship but the the Wide version is absolutely not wide. Not worth buying if your really need a wide toe box. I usually buy Wilson 4.5 Wide in size 8.5 and I could not even wear the adidas Mens Barricade 14 WIDE Tennis shoes in size 9.0. Read more

Comfortable, Breathable, Well-Made and Nice-Looking Show

I ordered these tennis shoes to replace an older worn-out pair that I use for racquetball. I will start by noting that I typically do not order tennis shoes that exceed the $100 range as I have been disappointed too many times in the past. So, when I had the opportunity to test and review this shoe I did not hesitate because my racquetball shoes were starting to separate at the soles. At first, this looks like an ordinary tennis shoe that one would see at a gym on any given day. When I picked up the shoe, I immediately noticed the ruggedness and durable feeling to it. From the sole, the ventilated arch, to the tongue, this shoe feels fantastic. They were snug at first, just like any other new shoe, but after a couple of games of racquetball, my feet felt great. I prefer a snugger fit in an athletic shoe to help prevent blisters, but I would say that the shoes are true to size. Normally after a three-game session of racquetball, my feet have sweated a bit and there is a little bit of slide. These shoes breathe so well since they are fully ventilated that your feet may not sweat at all. You can literally see daylight through the shoe while looking through the arch support from the bottom to the top. I really enjoy this shoe. I feel more confident, more in control, more comfortable while wearing these and I would have to say, improved my game a bit as I can pivot and stop on a dime with no slide from the sole or the insole. I have always liked ADIDAS, just never investigated their footwear. Testing this shoe has convinced me to consider other foot apparel from adidas for other tasks. I would order again without hesitation. Read more
