Much better than wearing regular tennis shoes to the court- the soles allow a perfect balance of grip and slide (if you’re trying to pull a Djokovic) and if anything have an over abundance of ankle support. Others have complained that the laces should go up one higher but in my several months of ownership they are more than adequate. Fair warning though, these will require about 4-5 hours of break in. My husband plays pickleball 7days a week for 4hrs. This is his shoes he wears and he loves it. He said great stability bc it is wide. He bought one size up. This is his second pair as he plays a lot so they dont really last which is fine. You are supposed to change out shoes often anyways. Highly recommend bc the fit is great once you play for a long time, your feet will swell but this shoes allows room for comfort. Traction is great on the concrete court. Jumping is great as the supports prevents you from getting an ankle injury. He had another pair from Asics and it game him an immediate ankle sprain because that shoe the heel was too narrow. I love the look of these sneakers, the fit is a bit stiff coming out of the box but the stability is preferable if playing tennis or pickleball. Get your regular size, the fit is accurate to my other pairs of Adidas. My main concern is the lacing system, one side is secured with elastic loops that I fear may give way if tied too tight. My second concern is the shoe is completely not breathable. I did read in another review that it made their feet sweat and I disregarded that thinking it was an exaggeration. It isn't. I believe these being TRUE clay court sneakers the intention was to keep the clay out but the trade-off is there is ZERO air transferring. The negatives are not deal-breakers as these are not my only sneakers to play in but I would probably not make these my go-to pair. Read more

This is my second pair - the first pair didn’t last very long, but to be fair, I abused them. The sole started to separate along the side. But I clearly missed wearing them, since I was willing to purchase a second pair. I love these for travel, and I can walk all day in them.
