This shoe was a return and rated as only in good condition. I took a chance since at 38 bucks was less than 2/3 the costs of a similar new sneaker and was the color I wanted, black uppers. The box looked like it had been through a war but the sneakers inside were perfect. No scratches on sides or top as description warned me and I looked over the sneakers very closely. I have returned shoes to Amazon after finding they did not fit during a 10 minute try on, so there are probably a lot of good return shoes out there. I have pretty medium width feet in size 12 sneaker, which these sneaker were. They fit perfect. Were comfortable wearing all day the first day, good support for walking and standing around, I weight 240 pounds. Look closely at description of sneakers you are buying to see what the material's are. These were described as all leather uppers and they certainly appear to be. They are gently molding to my feet which is why I like real leather and are not particularly hot, again a quality of leather, (plastic shoes make my feet sweat). Keep in mind these are not as cool as the lightweight sneakers make with a knit material uppers but these have greater support and look much more expensive, great for sport causal dress. Read more

The first and foremost thing I liked about these when I found them here (aside from the price, the style/color and the fact that I'd been fond of these since high school, but hadn't owned a pair since then) was THE SIZING CHART. I've found that there are some shoes you really have to try on in the store because one pair of 9.5s might not fit like the other 9.5s you own. In some cases it works (vans=airspeed=OP), but at the same time, I've got a pair of K-Swiss and a pair of Reeboks in my closet that are both size 10 that fit like they are supposed to. So you can either go by the brands you know, or roll the dice on a brand you haven't worn in some time. Fortunately the sizing chart for these gave the conversion from inches to shoes size and these couldn't fit more perfectly. They were literally dropped in front of my door minutes before I was being picked up for a day trip. I saw they had a mesh inner lining and decided it would be good without socks for the day (I rarely wear them this way, but occasionally I do). Normally and thinking back on my decision, this would've been a bad move. I mean wasn't going to be doing an extensive walking, but it was hot and humid and they are partially leather and I didn't even get a chance to throw some Dr. Scholl's in them. In the end after a day out and about, the perspiration was minimal, the smell was non existent and my feet felt like I'd been walking around as comfortably as in my memory foam house slippers. The only "odd" thing about them would be that they APPEAR to be more narrow than the usual sneakers I own and have worn, but there is absolutely no tightness around the sole, or arch, or anywhere you'd think there would be. The treads have a very interesting overlapping octagonal shaped tread pattern that feel like they grip any surface very well. Time will tell on the durability, but everything I'm seeing from material and stitching seems well done. This appears to be a top notch purchase that I'm fully satisfied with as of this writing. Should there be a significant change you can be certain I'll be back to update this., but if they hold up I'll probably consider purchasing the opposite color pattern (predominantly white with black trim/accents). Comfortable casual shoes with a classic style. They feel good when on, but lack a bit of cushioning. I would bring them with me traveling, but not on a heavy walking/exploring day without including arch supports or some sort of cushioned foot inserts. I've seen recommendations for wearing these as actual tennis shoes and personally I wouldn't recommend it. Not only do they lacking cushioning, but they don't have a lot of foot/ankle support or grip if you're looking to play an actual match. I'd be worried about rolling my ankle with something like these on, so take the "tennis shoes" description as one of a classic style, not actual function. Lastly, these run small on me. I normally shop by EU size since I find that is more consistent across shoe companies than US sizes. This time I had to go one value up (half a size up in US size). Read more

I'm late to write the review for this shoe, but I just want to state that these shoes lasted me 2 Β½ years of daily wear and tear. They were easy to clean with a damp cloth and gentle soap, and a sponge on the sole. I have since donated the shoes to charity since they were starting to get uncomfortable to walk in at work on concrete floors. But they were still wearable for anyone who doesn't have to be on their feet 12 hours a day. I replaced them with the same brand, and I believe model, just in a different color. I like how the toe box on this shoe is wider than most other running shoes, and yet it still was snug and fit well to my narrow heels. There was plenty of room to lace the shoe, and I wore mine a little looser. If your feet are wide at the toes, and narrow in the back of the heel like mine, these will probably be a good fit for you. I felt the price was average for new shoes, pretty affordable. Read more

I don't play tennis, but when I bought a new iridium silver Mercedes, I knew I needed a new pair of sneaker "driving shoes." I hadn't worn Adidas since college, but when I saw the light grey Adidas Grand Court Sneakers "mit drei streifen" I thought they'd go well with my new Benz. I find the sneakers to be very "classic" looking and extremely comfortable, and great for walking around (and driving). Strangely enough, about a week after they arrived, a friend invited me to lunch at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills NY, former home of the US Open Grand Slam Championship. I offered to drive her from Manhattan to the club, and of course I wore my new Adidas Grand Court Sneakers. It's nice to be back in a pair of sneakers with the three stripes again. Read more
