Bands

I have been using these adjustable pull up assistance bands with foot and knee support for my workouts, and they have been very helpful for building strength and improving my pull ups. They are especially useful if you are still working toward unassisted pull ups or want extra support for higher-rep sets. The bands feel durable and well made, and they provide smooth, consistent assistance without feeling jerky. I like that the design allows for both foot and knee support, which makes it easier to adjust based on comfort level and strength. This also makes them suitable for different users and fitness levels. They are easy to set up on a pull up bar and do not take up much space, which is great for home workouts. The adjustability helps control how much assistance you get, allowing you to gradually reduce support as you get stronger. Overall, these assistance bands are a good option for beginners and anyone looking to improve pull up strength safely. They make training more accessible and help build confidence while working toward full bodyweight pull ups. Read more

it's good with some caveats

This pull-up assistance system is functional and well thought out in its basic design, but its real world behavior differs from the way these products are often marketed. The kit includes several accessories beyond the core assist function, such as D-handles, a door attachment, and grip aids. These may be useful for general band exercises, but they are not necessary for pull-up assistance and can be ignored without affecting performance. Each elastic cable is labeled as 75 lb rated. Using a crane scale, I measured approximately 25 lb of force at 2x resting length and about 50 lb at nearly 3x resting length with the fabric sheath fully tensioned. This suggests the printed rating reflects a theoretical material maximum rather than usable assistance across a typical pull-up range. The resistance increase is smooth and predictable, but substantially lower than the label implies. The strap installation instructions were not easy for me to really see. However, for load-bearing use, the cam buckle must be oriented so downward force drives the locking mechanism into the webbing. When threaded correctly, the strap held securely and did not creep under load. Incorrect orientation would significantly reduce stability. Like many budget systems, the metal hardware deserves attention. The included carabiners function, but they feel light-duty for repeated dynamic loading. I did not deform them in testing, but I will be replacing them with higher-quality carabiners and would recommend regular inspection of all metal components and stitching. A more fundamental limitation is the assistance curve itself. Because assistance increases with band stretch, the system provides the most help at the bottom of a pull-up where most users are already strongest, and the least help near the top where assistance is often needed most. This is inherent to elastic systems and not unique to this product. In practice, I found the best use is partial-range work. By adjusting the strap height, assistance can be shifted to the specific portion of the range of motion being trained rather than attempting full-range assisted reps. Used this way, the system becomes much more effective for me. The padded foot and knee slings are comfortable and well executed. They distribute load cleanly and stay positioned during use. For beginners, these slings work well for controlled negatives starting from the top position, such as stepping off a bench and performing slow eccentrics with reduced effective bodyweight. The overall design is modular and flexible. Additional bands can be added if more assistance is needed, and components can be upgraded as required. Taken on its own terms, this is a usable assistance system with predictable behavior, provided the user understands the force curve, verifies correct setup, and treats the hardware realistically rather than taking the printed ratings at face value. I am rating this 4 stars, which is rounded up from 3.5. Read more

5-Star Review – Game-Changer for Pull-Ups!

This adjustable pull-up assistance band set is amazing! Finally, I can do full pull-ups without struggling — the padded foot and knee supports are super comfortable (no more sore knees!), and the heavy-duty bands give just the right help for my level. It was easy to set up on my home pull-up bar, comes with everything (handles, extra bands, carry bag — perfect for home workouts or travel), and feels really sturdy and well-made. Totally worth it — best fitness buy in a while! 5 stars all the way! Read more

Works well, but a little hard to use initially.

I was pretty skeptical when i saw this. I hurt my shoulder a couple months ago, and haven't been able to do any pull up due to shoulder pain. It product definitely works. The quality seems to be pretty good. The straps are thick and it uses heavy duty stitching everywhere (double stitched and X'ed). It's pretty easy to setup. There is a single loop/belt that goes over the top of the pullup bar. At the bottom of the loop is a D-Ring, where you clip on as many elastic bands as you need. You then attach the foot harnesses to the bottom of the elastic bands (see pict for the entire setup). It comes with 4 elastic bands that each claim to be 75LBS of lift, but when I used 3 of them (225lbs lift vs my 200lbs body weight)), I still had to do some work pulling myself up - it was not a huge amount, but just something to note. One con was that it was hard to get my feet into the harnesses. I had to get 1 foot in one side, hoist myself up on the pullup bar, and then try to get my other foot into the harness as it kept moving around. It wasn't too hard tough. It might get better as the harnesses get used more and they stretch more open. The other con was the rubber finger gripper that it came with. The rubber was almost greasy or oily, and it was actually hard to keep holding on to the pull-up bar them. It kept feeling like it was slipping on the bar (instead of gripping). If you want assistance doing pull-ups, this is a good product. Read more

Great gift for lifters who travel

I bought this for my husband so he can continue to train on all our trips this year. He loves it! He’s very strong, and this is the only setup I’ve seen capable of so much weight resistance. Read more
