I hesitated to get this because there was no size chart, and I can be a Large or X-large depending on the brand. I went on the side of caution and ordered an XL in this sweater, and it fit perfectly. I am a size 14W/16R, 190-195 lbs and 5ft 2". I have an Adrianna Papell dress that I wore to a wedding, and this brand is known for its luxurious, beautiful, beaded gowns so I was surprised to learn that they also do regular sportswear. Knowing how nice their format wear is, I decided to give this sweater a try. I chose the dark green, and it really is dark, dark green. I opened the package in the evening and thought this was black. the next morning I noticed that it's actually dark green, and a very classic dark green. The knit material feels expensive, and the fit is excellent. the sleeves come to the start of my fingers, which is a good length for long sleeves, and the body of the sweater is roomy but not hanging. The length comes to the bottom of my hip. The style of this sweater is truly a conservative style classic. Funny enough, I could see my (dearly departed) grandmother wearing this same exact style and color, but she would wear it with a slightly frumpy mid-calf length black skirt. I plan to pair this with a pair of skinny jeans in a lighter blue color and some knee-high boots, and I like the combination of a truly classic design, expensive feeling knit, a nice tailored fit, paired with modern accessories. This sweater is a very dark shade of maroon. So dark, that it almost looks brown to me. The style is very basic - a plain solid colored sweater. The fit is loose, not particularly figure enhancing, but it doesn't look bad either. This is good for a casual office or everyday look. Read more

I love this everyday wear sweater! As always Adrianna Papell delivers high quality product. The material is soft and it keeps you warm and cozy. In addition, the knitting of the material is high quality, dense enough to keep you warm, yet at the perfect density so you do not feel trapped in a sweater. This sweater is comfortable, classic, and flattering. I like that it's a little boxy but not oversized. It's not a chunky sweater and would go great under a jacket. I love the color and the mock neck. The sleeves come all the way to my wrists, and the hem in the front is just above my hip, so it's perfect with trousers.
