As far as novelty playing cards, these are alright. It's a humorous deck, and the art is fine for what it is. My wife got a kick out of the positions, although there were one or two that left us scratching our heads, anatomically. The actual cards are printed on uncoated paper stock with what appears to be semi-gloss soy ink. That stock is a little thicker than regular playing cards because these cards don't appear to be plastic-coated, like a regular card, or completely made from plastic, like others. Consequently, these will show wear and tear a lot faster. I don't think that these are going to be used enough to really wear out, but they aren't as durable as say, a Bicycle brand card. That uncoated thing is an issue, however. I tested the coating by taking the two jokers and put a drop of water on the center of one, and laid the other card on a drop of water I put on my desk. The soy ink did a decent job of protecting the card, with the water taking over a minute to start to seep in. The 2nd car, where the side of the card was exposed to water, absorbed that water immediately, and now that card has a permanent wave on that edge, and is slightly discolored. You can see this in the 2nd picture. You'll want to be careful with these around drinks or any other... fluids... or else they really won't last long at all. For what they are, these are OK. They're a novelty, and for that, they're OK, if a little overpriced at $9.99. I wouldn't want to take these with me camping or anything where you expect a shred of durability, but for boudoir use, they're OK. Read more
