Functional, But the Assembly Is a Real Headache

I gave this rack three stars because it is ultimately functional and provides needed storage, but the assembly process was extremely frustrating and reveals some clear corner-cutting in the design meant to achieve a small shipping box size. The Assembly Experience (The Problem): Because the unit is shipped in so many small pieces, putting it together is unwieldy and genuinely not a good building experience. It requires attaching many small bars and brackets, which makes the whole structure difficult to manage until the very last screw is tightened. I suspect this fragmented design was specifically chosen to save on shipping costs, but it severely degrades the user experience. Quality Control Issues: Even after spending the time to piece everything together, the rack isn't perfectly square. Pieces weren't entirely straight, and a few of the bars were visibly bent right out of the box, which affects the final alignment. The result is a rack that looks slightly askew on the door. Hardware Overload: Usually, I appreciate a few extra bolts, but the hardware bag was excessive. It honestly felt like they included nearly double the number of bolts and screws required for the job, adding to the confusion and waste. Final Verdict: The rack does its job and the price point is understandable given the component quality. However, the convoluted assembly process and the quality control issues with warped pieces make this a tough item to recommend unless you are prepared for a challenging build. It functions, but don't expect a clean, professional finish. Read more
