I ordered these wide leg pants in the 23" length in the khaki color in a large based on the size chart. They are very lightweight & cool to the touch. The manufacturer indicates the fabric has UV protection, however I can't verify that aspect. The fabric is a combination of 78% nylon with 22% spandex with 4 way stretch, which makes them extremely stretchable & very comfortable to wear. I'm 5' 3" & these pants actually come down to my ankles. The inseam is actually 24-1/2" L with the bottom leg opening 11-1/2" W. These are a pull on style with 2 patch pockets on the back that are average size measuring 5"W x 4" L. There are 2 small darts that are on the back centered over each pocket with the dart on the left side 3" L whereas the dart on the right only 2" L on the pair of pants I received. The center seam on the back from the waistband to the crotch is double stitched with the inside raw edges topstitched to eliminate unraveling. The elastic waistband is 1-1/2" W with the elastic actually stitched to the pants rather than enclosed in a waistband opening. This prevents the elastic from bunching, twisting or folding over. These pants have belt loops that will accommodate a belt about 1-3/8" W. The belt loop centered in the back is a western style measuring 1-7/8" W x 1-5/8" L on each side with 2-1/4" L to the bottom center point. The rest of the belt loops are 3/8" W. The front has a faux zipper, although the inner fabric is cut to allow for a zipper as there are 3 layers of fabric under the faux zipper stitching. The fabric is breathable & moisture wicking making them very comfortable to wear in warm weather. These pants are machine washable with no bleach & are recommended to be hung to dry with no ironing. These pants are comfortable for casual wear or business casual but I would not say they are suitable for dress. While the pant legs are slightly wider than most, I would not consider them wide leg pants, they are more like straight leg perhaps due to the type of fabric.
