This knitted vest is soft and comfortable. There are slits at the sides so that it can go over your hips with more ease of movement. I’m about 5’8”, and this did completely cover my stomach, but I wouldn’t say it’s tunic length on me. I found it true to size with a more relaxed fit so that it can go over shirts. The arm holes are a little long, but I think that will help maintain comfort if you wear it over another shirt. It is solid enough that you could wear it by itself, but part of your bra will probably be showing at the sides. I don’t think I would wear this for warmth, just style; although, I won’t be wearing it until the weather turns cold. Adore this Navy vest! It is super soft and the knit gives this very high end vibes! I ordered up 1 size(3xl) because I wanted to wear this on the looser side with leggings. My suggested size was a 2x. I normally wear an XL in most items for tops. So the sizing is a wee bit wonky. Do go by their measurement chart. This sweater vest is going to be just what I need for those cold days. I mean, I have long sleeve shirts, but some days I have to use a back warmer mat because my "core" is so cold! This sweater vest isn't too thick or bulky, but it is "close-knit" and long so it covers my core - the part of me that really does get cold.
