I love that this mat is made from non-toxic PVC and is free from harsh chemicals. That was what drew me to this yoga mat initially. Beyond that, this mat is wonderful! The 6mm cushion provides just enough comfort for working out on top of a hard surface. There is definitely enough grip so I don’t slide around all over the place. It’s super easy to clean as well. Just wiping it with a little soap and water, then rinsing with just clean water does the trick. I really like the look of the mat too. The Agoy Studio Nomad Yoga mat has many fine features. It is slightly thicker than my current regular yoga mat. It is made without harmful chemicals, dyes, BPA or heavy metals. It has a non-slip surface that won't slide around on the floor and also provides non-slip traction for you. It is easy to keep clean by simply wiping the surface down. It is double sided, one side is solid black for a clean zen look and the other side is lined with alignment guides. This mat is lightweight, easy to roll and easy to carry. However, it doesn’t come with a carrying strap or anything to keep it from unrolling. It is the standard yoga mat size of 2’ wide and 6’ long. I love the alignment guides. They are very helpful and keep me aware of being properly balanced and in alignment. I also like that this mat is safe and free of harmful substances. We are all exposed to enough toxic substances in our daily lives and no one needs more exposure from a yoga mat. I also like that this mat is lightweight and easy to take to the gym or yoga class. And now for the negatives: this mat maybe slightly thicker than my regular mat but I honestly can’t feel any difference in the cushioning or the thickness. This mat is fairly expensive at a price point of around $54.00. And for that price, I think a carrying strap, bag or some type of closure binding should be included. I just love this super sticky mat for my home yoga practice! It's a little thicker than a typical sticky mat, which relieves the pressure on my knees in child pose and other knees-to-mat postures, but it doesn't hamper my ability to hold standing poses. Although a little thicker than a regular mat, it's not so thick that it affects my balance. The width is a bit more narrow than a typical mat, but I find this is great for making it easier to carry to class. I've used this yoga mat a few times, and I really like it. My old one began to pill away so I moved up to this. It has a quality feel to it. Not too thin, and most importantly for me, feels nice and tacky - Not too tacky, but a solid feel that I am not going to slip out of a pose. Arrived curled up and wrapped with a paper overwrap. I also like the symmetry of having the shapes on the mat. It does help you to get your body into a more balanced use if you wanted to. This is a good yoga mat overall and it’s well made. The material feels comfortable underfoot and seems durable enough for regular practice. I really like the alignment pattern — it’s a nice touch and helpful for positioning during poses, especially if you practice at home. The main reason I’m giving this 3 stars is the value. It’s priced fairly high for what you get, and it doesn’t quite have the premium feel I was expecting at this price point. That alone takes away one star. It’s also very narrow, more than I was expecting. But it is long. Even though the thickness is clearly stated, the material itself is more on the spongy side, and the exposed edges don’t add to a high-end impression. This was another small disappointment. Another downside is that it’s marketed as travel-friendly, but it doesn’t come with a carrying bag, strap, or anything to keep it rolled up for storage or transport. A simple travel bag or tie would have made a big difference, and I’ll need to find my own accessory for that. This yoga mat is almost perfect! It feels high-quality underfoot, has a great non-slip surface, and is easy to roll up and carry wherever your practice takes you. Not too thick, not too thin, just a nice general mat. Looks like it well hold up well and I do like the simplicity of the design. There is a normal amount of slip, but not bad at all. I don't feel like you can totally get away from that. This is a really nice yoga mat! Read more
