What a waste of time! I tried multiple times to set the GetD app and mission impossible. The app doesn't even appear on Google play store for my Android device. I tried many times with the first device, then bought a second one, still the same issue. I'm not trying again. Read more

They look good, stylish; but, the frame legs on the white pair shattered after I’d spent $280 putting prescription lenses in them. They were not dropped, just cracked and shattered. Not durable at all b Read more

I occasionally work as an interpreter, and I've been curious about the recent advances in these AI translator devices, having tried a few in recent years. I also work face-to-face with immigrant clients from many countries who speak very little English, and I have always wished I could convey messages in their own language. The GetD brand of frames looks stylish, not geeky as I was afraid these AI devices would be. The functionality is nicely concealed in the glasses' temples, so nobody would suspect you're wearing a device. Neither the paper manual included in the package nor the GetD app has any explanation on the usage of the various AI functions, but they were self-explanatory. Meeting Mode: When I turned on its Speaking mode and played a TED Talk speech, pausing between sentences, it translated quite accurately even between remote languages (English/Japanese). This was not surprising, given what AI is capable of these days. Offline Translation: The choice of 58 downloadable languages for Offline mode is sufficient to cover my needs to speak with my clients. This function is important to me because the internet connection is not optimal in the venue. AI Meeting Memos: The AI glasses flawlessly captured and transcribed the speech from a TED Talk. Only 19 languages are available in this mode. Although I don't foresee a need to record a meeting while wearing sunglasses at an indoor meeting, I wished these AI glasses were available in plain glasses, not sunglasses. Simultaneous Mode: Once I configured the languages (who uses the glasses vs. who speaks into the phone), it worked well. I will need this mode the most when speaking to clients across the table. I'm really looking forward to surprising them with my ability to communicate in their language (even though it'll be weird of me wearing sunglasses indoors). Read more

Little heavier than I expected but very cool features. Was hoping it would translate immediately but the app doesn't work with Samsung phone and kept crashing whenever I opened it. But you can listen to music and ask ai for things and it plays into your ear. Read more

I honestly didn’t expect to love these glasses as much as I do! The setup was super simple, and they connected to my phone right away. The sound quality is surprisingly clear for open-ear speakers—I can listen to music or take calls while still hearing what’s going on around me. The AI assistant and real-time translation are what really make these stand out. I’ve tested them with a few different languages, and they pick up and translate conversations quickly and accurately. It’s been amazing for meeting people and even learning short phrases while traveling. They’re also lightweight and comfortable to wear all day. The lenses have great UV protection and look just like stylish sunglasses, so you’d never guess they have so much tech built in. The battery lasts me a full day of on-and-off use before I need to recharge. Overall, these smart glasses are a fun and surprisingly useful piece of tech. If you love gadgets or travel often, they’re definitely worth it! Read more
