I was really excited to try these AI smart glasses, but they didn’t quite live up to the hype. The idea is fantastic, and the features have potential, but the execution falls short in a few areas. The transition lenses barely darken, so they don’t really work as sunglasses. The lens construction also feels a bit loose, which makes them move around when cleaning. The companion AI app has promise but isn’t very intuitive—it takes some patience to figure out how everything works. Wow.. these are very frustrating. I don't want to be overly critical, but I've had a hard time with these. Let me start with the positives. Pros - Good looking design. Not bulky. Lightweight. Comfortable. Transition lenses are excellent and UV blocking. Pairing was as easy as it gets. Easy off and on feature by simply opening and folding your glasses. Simple software layout. Price is very affordable. The speaker seems loud and clear even when there's a lot of ambient noise. Cons - If you download the software from the manufacturers website you get a device warning about it being potentially harmful. Not that it is harmful or contains spyware, but the fact you get that notice doesn't inspire confidence. I downloaded from Google Play store instead. Also, these glasses constantly turn on and off while on the face. I don't know what's going on, but these will repeatedly say "powering on" "powering off" over and over while I have them on and they're at 90% charge. I can only assume it's something to do with a sensor? No clue, but its so irritating I can't wear them long. The software has an easy interface as mentioned in the pros, but even though I'm connected via BT as shown in my images, the software says I'm not connected. The device has a touch sensitive button to control your music, take remote pictures, etc. however, the function is atrocious. You have to push the bottom on the left or right, 1 time for this, 2 times for that, 3 times for something else.. what happens is you cannot remember how many times nor which button does what you need. You'll need to walk around with cheat sheet to use your buttons correctly.. it's frustrating. As I was driving I all of a sudden Aaron Neville started playing out of nowhere. I am not sure how that happened. The only thing I could think of was perhaps the radio, which was on sports talk, may have said something that inadvertently triggered a command to play music? Not a clue, but frustrating all the same. Additionally there's only 1 speaker in the right ear rest. So listening to music is not immersive. About those buttons, I found they do not always react to your touch which adds to your frustration. I had about 30 pictures of the inside of my jeans pockets when I was trying to skip a tract, not realizing I was snapping pictures because my touches were not being recognized and counted correctly.. I can't even remember how many times to push the button to take a picture in the first place, nor which side. Even still.. I got lots of pictures of lint to share. Smh. I haven't tried all the features yet, but at this juncture I'm not confident I'll use these. I got frustrated and put them down. Although the price is decent, they're not performing up to expectations... I gave this 3 stars because the positives are about equal to the number the negatives, but the main negative makes them unusable.. I have figure out what's going on with these and will update this review if I can find out why they repeatedly turn on and off every 5 seconds. As of right now, I cannnot honestly recommend these. There are some glaring improvements to be made. Update - after spending a few more days trying these out. I have to correct a statement I made. There are two speakers. One in each ear rest. However only one of them works in my glasses.. so I originally thought it only came with one, now that I know there are two and one was defective..I have no choice but to drop the rating to 2 stars. Ordering these epic glasses was pretty exciting, but then they arrived and I saw the complexity they held. Maybe it's just me, but I wish that many of these modern day inventions offered less options and had simplicity in how they work. Unfortunately this is not the case with these. My first source of minor frustration was the magnetic charger, which unless laid on a flat sturdy counter, can lose the magnet with the slightest bump. The instructions for use are also lacking in clarity in my opinion. Sometimes I feel that those that put some of these specialty items together are the same that write the directions, when they already know how the unit works. The media could not be loaded. For some reason the body of my review were not visible: So here goes: This AI smart glasses deliver on some core promises. The audio quality is superb. Calls are crisp and music sounds fantastic. The durable design, with it's thick temples, also feels premium and well-built. The video quality is great and easy to connect by sending a link to the other party if they do not have the app. Visual is amazingly clear, and the translation works wonderful. Closing the temples to turn off the glases, and simply opening them to turn them back on, is a great convenience, not to mention how comfortable they are while wearing them. Recording works amazing, and the translation from French to English was perfectly accurate and audible. Though the sounds for video-call, phone-calls, and translation playback is loud, the playback for recording is a bit low. All in all the glasses functions well. However, the rest of the experience is a frustrating mess of missinformation. The most glaring issue is the voice wake-up feature for calls. The packaging proudly advertises answering or rejecting calls with a voice command, yet there are zero instructions on how to activate this feature. It's not in the impossibly tiny user manual (words), which I had to photograph just to read, neither is it anywhere in the official Hyper MZT app, which you need to download. It is a selling point that simply does not work out out of the box . Even more perplexing is the user manual's imagery. It shows a series of touch-sensitive buttons for various functions like picking up a call, playing music, and adjusting volume, etc. The problem is, there are no such buttons on the physical product. The lack of proper instructions and missing features makes for a frustrating user experience. Another point to note is that the description says "Ultra-Thin Temples," when in fact the temples are quite thick, which in itself is a good thing that makes it much more durable. Overall, other than the one small issue of the buttons, I would say this is an amazing pair of glases that delivers. If not having a button on the physical product to answer and hang up calls doesn't matter to you, then this glasses is ultimately a good recommendation.
