This AIMILAR Smart Kitchen Scale has completely transformed how I approach cooking and nutrition management. As someone who's serious about tracking macros and portion control, this scale has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen. The nutritional calculator feature is incredibly accurate and user-friendly. I love that I can weigh my ingredients and instantly see the calorie count and nutritional breakdown without having to manually look up every item. The app integration works seamlessly with my phone, making meal logging effortless. The USB-C rechargeable battery is a huge plus - no more hunting for batteries! One charge lasts me weeks, even with daily use. The tempered glass surface is sleek, easy to clean, and feels premium. The LED display is bright and clear, making it easy to read measurements even in different lighting conditions. The tare function works perfectly for measuring multiple ingredients in the same bowl, which saves so much time during meal prep. The accuracy is spot-on, and I appreciate being able to switch between grams, ounces, pounds, and milliliters depending on what I'm measuring. At this price point, the quality and functionality far exceed my expectations. Whether you're counting calories, following a specific diet plan, or just want to be more precise in the kitchen, this smart scale is absolutely worth the investment. Highly recommend! Amazon's Choice badge is well-deserved on this one! Read more

I like the sleekness and how it looks fairly modern. I like the size because it is not too small or too big. It is a pretty decent size. I can put fairly large bowls on it for measuring. It does not include a power block. I guess they assume everyone has a USB power block just laying around. It would have been nice if they could include a power block with this scale. It says the scale can be charged using the USB-C cable, but there’s nothing in the instructions to indicate how you know if it is fully charged and there’s no light on the scale itself to tell you if it’s done charging. Once I plugged it in and pressed the on/tear button nothing happened. The scale would not turn on. I found out on my own, because there is nothing in the instruction booklet, you have to let it charge up first before it will tun on. Once you turn it on, there is a light so to speak, on the top of it that jumps back-and-forth like it’s thinking, but it is just an indication that it is charging. There’s nothing in the instruction book to indicate what this is supposed to happen. Be sure to turn it on or it will not charge. I found out that you can not turn it on while it’s charging, which I would think is an important fact it should be in instruction booklet. I did not see a reference, and I looked over the entire booklet at least twice. So because of this, my assumption is that the flashing white light, that goes back-and-forth, is actually an indication that it is charging. After about 30 minutes of charging, I saw a full indication on my scale. I assume that means that it’s charged up, which if that is the case then it charged pretty quickly. Except for the missing information in the operating booklet, I like this scale. Read more

What got me hooked to purchase this scale is the app. There are several scales now that provide an app companion and this one is a good contender. What Works Well High Capacity & Accuracy With a rated capacity of 10 kg (22 lb), this scale provides ample headroom for larger items and containers, which is a notable advantage over typical kitchen scales capped at 5 kg or less. Rechargeable via USB-C: Including a USB-C charging cable is a modern touch. Rather than relying on single-use batteries, you can recharge the unit. Sleek Form Factor: A thin unit (0.71″ height) means it will slip under cabinets or stack in a drawer easily. Given your filmmaking/creative background, you likely appreciate gear that doesn’t add clutter — this design is in line with that sensibility. The App: This is the strong part of this scale. It gives you an estimate of protein, fat and carbs for each weighted item. Of course, you have to tell the app what the item is (example raw chicken breast) but then the app will get the weight of the chicken breast and estimate everything. You can also create a meal plan and keep track of intake calories, protein and fat. It will take me weeks to test all that, but I’m quite excited to try it. But it may not be the best app in the market. Areas to Consider Surface Area / Platform Size Not Clearly Detailed The listing snippet does not provide the exact platform dimensions. If you intend to weigh awkwardly shaped items you’ll want enough surface area so the weight is evenly distributed. The App Review: I don’t have enough data to give a comprehensive review of the FREE app, but it has only a 3.0 rating on the google app store and here are some of the top complaints: Clunky Food Search Functionality: This is the biggest pain point. The search function is poor and generic; typing a simple word like "egg" or "jam" returns a huge, unsorted, alphabetical list that makes finding the right generic food item a tedious task. Missing Packaged Foods/Barcode Issues: The barcode scanner is unreliable for many national and international brands, especially outside the US. This forces you to manually look up and enter package nutrition facts, which defeats the purpose of the "smart" scale setup. Many common grocery items are simply absent from the database. UX and Clarity Issues: The initial setup and logging process can be confusing, with the interface feeling busy or not intuitive. Several users have noted there are no clear instructions within the app itself, leading to a lot of trial-and-error to figure out how to properly "Add to Plate" and then "Add to Journal." Fixed Serving Sizes: For scanned or manually entered packaged foods, some users report inability to adjust the serving size. If you eat a third of a serving, you have to manually calculate the breakdown before logging, negating the automatic calculation benefit. Conclusion For everyday kitchen use and for some food tracking — this scale is very well suited. The capacity, modern charging, and sleek footprint are all strong advantages. The app is not very well rated and has room for improvement, but the price point and the specific use may overcome the app functionality. Also, the app will always get better, so I see this as a solid buy. Read more
