Works good for a desk purifier and desk fan combo. The lay flat design helps you recoup valuable desk space by turning the purifier into a platform to lay objects on. The exhaust has a corner outlet to it so it actually doesn’t just blow straight out it also blows out at a 90 degree angle. The unit does what it is designed to do and more I am satisfied. The reason I say more is because while laying flat it produces a nice breeze and current in its vicinity. I will be buying more for areas where laying flat will come in handy. Edit: After some time now it works wonderfully. I want to confess to you, the audience, and reader, that I consume marijuana via combustion and other methods. Inspection shows that the filter has a pre-filter that is of a fiber like material and is washable and can in-fact pro-long the life of the filter behind it. This is a really powerful purifier for a desk but it works well for its lay flat functionality. Even on low (not sleep mode) it can create a pretty chilly, constant wind. I will be ordering another since I have 2 desks in the room and maybe a third or more since they are small, easy to hide and put in places you normally wouldn't be able to fit a purifier due to being able to lay flat and the filters are cheap and last long. I don’t know what it’s actually supposed to do? it is a very useful fan next to my bed. It lights up blue. Works pretty. I’ve had other similar purifiers. This one seems better. keeps me cool at night. That’s all I really need.. it’s like white noise, Different speeds. I can’t sleep in a warm stuffy room. I use a tower fan too. I couldn't be more pleased! I bought 2 of these air purifiers and they work amazingly well! They can be laid upright or laid flat and have a soft pleasant blue light and timer plus child lock and a little compartment where your favorite essential oils can give your rooms a delightful touch of scent. The 3 different fan speeds are quiet and the best feature of all is that they have a washable prefilter which gives you more so much more time before needing new filters. I wasn't sure about how well these would work but I can now say they work fantastic! They clearly out cooking smells, smoke and these air purifiers are perfect if you have pets! Love them!!
