Evaporative humidifiers are great for climates where the air is very dry in different seasons. Especially if you have any wooden instruments in the house. The unfortunate things is that they have wicks which need replacing every few months because like anything left in water for a period of time they develop mold. These wicks last for a long time and work very well in the AirCare humidifiers for which they are meant. They're not cheap but they are much less expensive than having to get cracks in favorite furniture or musical instruments! Read more
