I have no way of knowing what this is or isn't pulling from the air aside from when an odor is removed or when it ramps up randomly and I have to just assume it's sensing something I'm not. It's not quiet but not super loud either, about on par with others I have. It suggests you leave it on auto 24/7 but I just turn it on when I'll be in that room for awhile and it seems like it makes a difference. Read more
