Renting a home and this was perfect so you don't have to put holes to install a curtain holder. This rod is holding up four 96in x 55in black out curtains and its pretty sturdy. It was easy to use. All you had to do was twist the ends. It does not look bad at all in our living room. It actually just looks like a regular curtain rod. It's rust resistance as it's designed for a shower. This feels a little cheaply made. It’s not as good looking as it is in the pictures. Unfortunately, that is normally the case. The part that you can use to extend, if left in, you can’t even squeeze it in a normal door frame. And it’s such a large piece that it kind of felt to me like it takes away from the stability. It would be nice if there was two sections of extensions, so you wouldn’t be losing so much of what adds to the sturdiness. So far it’s been up for about a week and it hasn’t slid. That’s a bonus and it’s what kept its fourth star. The curtain I have hanging on it is in a doorway. It gets slid open and shut multiple multiple times throughout the day. My wife made the kitchen window curtain in our RV with OU Football material. Looks great. The tension rod was slim diameter by strong and fit perfectly inside the wooden valence.
