I've been using this keyboard for a week full-time and really like it. The sound is fantastic, and I'm glad I got the rose switches. They sound like my other better keyboards, not too loud, and with a nice thock, with no ceramic high-pitched sound. Key travel is quiet, with no noticeable friction noise as keys are pressed and released. Testing switches with calipers and a digital force gauge, I measured a pre-travel of 1.9mm, and 39g actuation force. I swapped a few keys with silent switches (spacebar, backspace, arrow keys), and it had solid construction where keys mount. It includes stabilizers, though I found without them fine (e.g. spacebar moves evenly no matter where I press). Slightly shrunken F-key layout was easy to adjust to, due to them still being grouped in fours. NOTE: There's a firmware updater for a minor issue where pressing modifier+key will ignore the modifier if the keyboard hadn't been used for a few minutes. Akko support was quick to respond to my report with a firmware patch that fixed it, which is available on on their site. I like the overall aesthetics. Metal case is a fairly smooth matte, not rough feeling. It's built like a tank, quite heavy. The weight reduces acoustic transfer to the desk when typing. Included coiled USB cord looks nice, if going the wired route. Top comes off nicely by hand, and attaches very firmly, no looseness or rattling. It has a fixed tilt that matches tilt of my other keyboards with legs extended. Logo above arrow keys can be unscrewed and removed. Battery life with RGB off appears to be excellent. I measured 20 mA current draw when awake. With rainbow RGB at full brightness, it draws 100 mA. This works out to 400 hours continuous typing with RGB off (80 hours with RGB on). Sleeps after two minutes of no typing. Wakeup is instant, and the first key press goes through normally. Fn+Space shows battery level. LED patterns are typical full-featured, south-facing. Even the two clear corners have multiple RGB LEDs each so can show rainbow gradients too. Switching between Bluetooth, USB dongle, and wired USB worked decently. Switching is done via Fn+E/R/T/Y/U, so no switches on the back to change modes. Key layout editing with Via website is full-featured, and works via wireless dongle too. I was able to easily swap Fn and Alt, and make Alt act as R-Ctrl (and set Fn+Ctrl to give Alt). This seems to have no limitations on reprogramming keys and Fn combinations, unlike most keyboards I've tested. I had to download template file and load into Via website the first time, then it recognized keyboard normally. Minor issues: - Via configuration software doesn't have a downloadable offline version; there's only a website to configure the keyboard. - No way to customize LED patterns from what I can tell, e.g. no way to just light up WASD etc. - Instructions are unclear. Remove caps lock key to get to power switch to enable wireless mode. - No alternate keycaps for right side keys, or an extra Ctrl key if you want that instead of Alt to the right of the spacebar. Starting off with the pros of the keyboard, I enjoy the feedback when pressing down on the switches. Overall responsiveness is very pleasing. The keyboard itself is surprisingly heavy, not that I'm complaining. Keyboard sounds nice when typing, and has decent lighting. A minor but persistent issue is the keyboard connectivity, it seems that every time it's powered on it defaults into the bluetooth connectivity mode, which is annoying because my PC does not have a bluetooth module, so I need to keep switching the mode from bluetooth to wired every time. A nice-to-have would be a palmrest, the height of the keycaps compared to the tabletop is substantial, so something to rest my hands on would feel nice. Overall I think the keyboard is alright, not too sure about the pricing though. Read more

I’ve been using the Akko Mineral mechanical keyboard for a few days, and overall I’m really impressed, especially for everyday typing and even moderate gaming. Here’s my thoughts after my brief time with this keyboard: • Sturdy & premium feel: Out of the box, the keyboard feels solid in my hands. The keycaps have a nice texture and the build gives off a high quality, weighty vibe that you don’t always get in mid‑range keyboards. • Typing experience: Key taps/presses register cleanly and the feedback is consistent and satisfying. Typing long documents or emails hasn’t caused fatigue even after a few hours, which to me suggests this keyboard’s good for work (writing, spreadsheets, emails, etc.) • Responsive and reliable: I haven’t experienced dropped keystrokes or lag, during typing or gaming. For the price (just under 150 bucks), the responsiveness feels comparable to many “premium” or higher cost boards. • Simple, clean design that fits my work‑oriented setup: The black finish and relatively restrained styling make this keyboard blend nicely with a home‑office, desktop workspace, or productivity environment. What I think could be improved: • Somewhat basic ergonomics: There’s no wrist rest included, and the key spacing/height may not be ideal for users who type for long stretches without a separate wrist support. If you’re used to ergonomic boards or wrist rests, you might notice the absence. • Sound/feel: It's good, but not as good as premium mechanical boards I've used and owned. The keypresses are satisfying, but don't compare to top‑end boards with ultra‑smooth switches or dampened acoustics. It’s more “solid mid-range mechanical” than “high-end enthusiast.” I'd describe the sound as a deep "thock". Where I stand after using for a short time: If you want a dependable, well-built mechanical keyboard for everyday typing, work, or casual gaming, this board offers great value for its price point. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of high-end enthusiast keyboards, but it’s reliable, comfortable, and feels like a smart upgrade over a basic membrane board. The ability to use wired (through USB C OR wireless with the built in 8000mAh battery), ability for hot-swapping and easy assembly/disassembly of the case, premium materials used (aluminum), option to use bluetooth or 2.4Ghz (even able to connect to multiple devices via "multi-host" when using a receiver dongle, and onboard RGB lighting make it worth it to me- even at this price. In my experience, it hits a nice balance of weight, responsiveness, and simplicity, produces a pleasant-enough sound, is comfortable to use, and offers enough features to make it worthwhile for me.
