I got this for my teen who has trouble waking up to his phone alarm. I decided to go old school with an alarm clock he can put across the room and has to get up to turn off. This is easy to use and set. It is loud enough that it wakes him up in the morning without me having to intervene. The clock is very easy to set up and has a button cell battery backup to save your settings during a power failure. The clock has the options of solid colors or you can set it to a rotating multi-color setting. The alarm clock is very loud at 95 peak decibels and is adjustable for lower sound levels. The clock is also capable of multi-alarms so you can set one for work hours and another for other tasks, and it has a snooze button that works in 10 minute increments. This is a very interesting designed clock, it works great, really like the color changing effects, cute cat figure, and the buttons/instructions are super easy to set your clock up. The long long cord for this clock is appreciated because I wanted to hang this clock up on a bookshelf and it reached no problem. I did not need it for the alarm but there are several nice alarm options to choose from if you need an alarm clock, the lights are dimmable or you can set them on the brightest setting, you can select a color for the digital clock numbers but not the cat that I found.
