I got this pressure alternating mattress pad for my mother-in-law Using that was on hospice. This mattress pad made a real difference for her. The alternating air pockets keep pressure moving in a way that felt comfortable for her and prevented bedsores and allowed the ones she had to heal. The setup was fast and easy. The pump runs relatively quietly which is something I appreciated. The adjustable settings let me fine tune the airflow, so it would be the exact pressure she needed. The material wipes clean easily which makes maintenance quick and stress free. This is one of those things that work better that you would think. What a life saver this is! I have lipedema and lymphedema and use several methods of conservative therapy/treatments at home. This was the last thing I needed on my list to help me at night. When I’m in a flare it’s important to keep fluids moving and I’m a big lady. This mattress pad can handle my weight and still work so well. I have woken up with my swelling reduced, less pain, and more rested. The machine part is a little loud when it settles but other than that it’s become white noise to me. I purchased this in hopes of helping to heal a bedsore my family member had from their hospital stay and I must say I am extremely impressed! This is easy to setup and use right away! The firmness can be adjusted and it fits the at home hospital bed well. It has functioned flawlessly since putting it on the mattress. It is very easy to clean.
