I’ve Been cooking with All Clad for 30 years with my original 5piece set. It still looks like it just came out of the box. I needed a paella pan, so instead of buying a trendy made for paella only pan, I decided to get this All Clad version. So glad I did. Worth the cost. So far I’ve made paella, curry shrimp rice noodles, frittatas and lots of stir fry. I got the 3ply which is a bit smaller than the 5ply but much lighter. Heats up fast, yet does cool down a little quicker than 5ply. The lid that comes with it is heavy enough to be able to cook rice, hence paella. This is my new go to everything pan. Highly recommended. When it comes to cook ware you get what you pay for. With All Clad, it is a one time purchase. With simple care, all of all clad’s cookware will be handed down to the children. Don’t balk at the cost. Everything All Clad is superior cookware. If your thinking about getting into stainless cookware, this is a very good first pan to start with. So what are you waiting for? Buy this pan. Read more

This is the second piece of All Clad cookware I have. The first one is a five-ply, 3 qt Dutch oven with a brushed bottom and shiny dome which sits permanently on the stove for daily steaming of vegetables. (Joseph Joseph green plastic steamer fits perfectly and is so much better than the newer inferior stainless steel steamers.) The All Clad Universal Pan with handcrafted handles is big and beautiful. It is expensive and looks it. I have a vertical six tier rack in which I store my commonly used pans and casseroles. This beauty sit in the center and is the star of the kitchen showcase. Check out "6 Wire Shelving Steel Storage Rack Unit," which is currently on Amazon. Mine is decades old, but is similar. This newer model measures 16.6L x 11.6W x 63H. The main thing is you want open, flat sides front to back and sideways - keep it simple so you can easily slide cookware in and out. This is not a small pan and that's why a storage rack is perfect in which you can slide it in sideways. Also, I wouldn't want to stack other cookware in it in the cupboard, not to mention what to do with the huge lid. If you live an an apartment with limited space, you'll appreciate this. It weighs 6.54 lbs. Dimensions: 16" from handle to handle, bottom is 12" and with the lid on it is approx. 14". My only brands of cookware are Lodge cast iron (have all the sizes) and stainless which you can count on getting no chemical residue. Both brands should last a lifetime and are made in Pennsylvania. I own a set of the 3 ply stainless pots and pans - they are over 10 years old and I still love them. I also own the lasagna pan. I didn't go in search of an All Clad pan in this instance; I was searching for "paella pan" and this was one of the first results. I wanted a very wide, versatile pan for everything from paella to pasta with pesto, peas, and prawns (check my photos for ththis one.) I hesitated because of the price - perusing All Clad cookware tends evoke feelings of sticker shock - but I'm so glad I decided to purchase it. I justified it by calling it an early birthday gift, and it's an absolute joy to cook with this pan. It heats so well and so evenly! This will be involved in the creation of so many meals yet to come with my children, friends, and family that this price is extremely reasonable. Plus, like everything All Clad, it's made in the USA!!!! Read more

Not the All-Clad of yore. Sigh. This is a good-sized pan for versatility, but it's so lightweight and flimsy I don't anticipate great results. NOT the All-Clad I'm used to. I might return it. Read more

The 12" pan is good size to cook multiple foods at once, a handled pan will be nice, but i prefer this one since i don't do shake or toasting with this (i have a carbon steel wok for that), save more space and easier for small oven. Read more

I had one a bit larger which I couldn’t find so I got the smaller version here. It was good price, arrived in good packaging and is as great as the one I used to have ( I lost it in a move). Read more

I’ll start by saying I love All-Clad products and was very excited to test this weeknight pan! I tested it out making some taco bowls for my family of 3. I used a can of tomatoes, a lb of ground beef and a can of black beans and as you can see the pan was nearly filled to the top so I had to be careful when stirring and adding in the spices. This pan cooked everything evenly and it is high quality just like my other All-Clad products. It’s not too heavy so it’s easily to carry and move around. My only wish is that this one was a bit deeper even if that meant it wasn’t as wide. This pan cleaned up easily with dish soap and water. For my all-clad pans I do occasionally use a steel wool and barkeeps best friend cleaner to get them shining like new! Read more
