Pretty bolero, but I wound up returning it. I didn’t like the way the buttons were at the top, and even in just trying it on, one of the buttons popped off. Read more

As someone who’s both plus-size and a weightlifter, I was honestly skeptical about finding a bolero that wouldn’t feel like a straightjacket. But this one surprised me—in a good way. The XL fits snugly but comfortably over my 17-inch upper arms, and the slight stretch in the material prevents any awkward pinching or pulling. The sheer floral lace adds a touch of elegance to my go-to sleeveless dresses, dressing them up without making me feel like I’ve sacrificed comfort or coverage. It strikes a nice balance between chic and breathable. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. The lace fabric feels more stiff than soft, which isn’t a dealbreaker, but don’t expect cozy. And the single faux pearl button at the front? It’s a little too costume-y for my taste. I clipped on a brooch over it to elevate the look—and it totally worked. Bottom line: This bolero does what it’s supposed to—adds coverage, upgrades a look, and fits muscular arms. With a small DIY touch, it becomes a wardrobe staple. Read more
As someone who’s both plus-size and a weightlifter, I was nervous about squeezing into a bolero. The XL snugly fits my 17-inch upper arms, and because it's a bit stretchy there's no awkward pinching. The sheer floral pattern dresses up my go-to sleeveless dresses without feeling like I’ve lost my shirt in the process. The downsides are the fabric and the button. The lace feels more crisp than soft, and the single fake-pearl button looks a bit tacky. My hack is to clip on a brooch to cover the button. Overall, this bolero elevates a basic dress pretty nicely!
