Allegra K Velvet Shrug Top for Womens 3 4 Sleeve Open Front Ruffled Cocktail Party Cropped Cardigan

This is an absolutely lovely shrug. I started wearing shrugs decades ago. They can completely change the look of a strappy top or tube dress. I decided a few weeks ago to start replacing some of my older ones, and started by searching for something in black velvet. This shrug by Allegra K more than fit the bill. Most of the shrugs I looked at had long, fitted or tapered sleeves. This one was the only one I saw with 3 quarter belled sleeves - and a slight ruffling detail at the front. It was a completely different look than what I had been seeing and I was thrilled with how it looked with some of my gothier work outfits. It fits in perfectly with both my work and non-work wardrobes. The softness and quality of the velvet are very good, especially considering the low price. But the color really surprised me. More than once I've bought something online that was supposed to be "black" velvet, only to have it actually look blue. That was not the case here - it is a nice true black, and coordinates well with my other clothes. I will certainly buy more from this brand. Read more

This shrug is beautifully made and the color (Burgundy) is exactly as pictured. The material has a soft velvety look and feel…it’s a keeper! I typically wear between a L and XL and I ordered the XL, which is a perfect fit. The shrug hangs close to the body without any puckering and is roomy enough to allow for ease of arm/shoulder movement. Not tight at all around upper arm and shoulder areas. Use their Sizing Chart to determine the best size to order since the Unit Measurements on the chart are pretty accurate. Read more

I knew exactly what I was looking for. I purchased six, returned four. This is a keeper ! Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to wear it. Due to illness, I wasn’t able to attend the party.
