Odd but cool pants stand out in the crowd
These are interesting pants that don't fall easily into any particular "style" category, which is good and bad. Good because you can really get creative with these: wear them to brunch with a dainty lace camisole, or to a boxing match with your boyfriend, paired with a leopard print sweater. And bad because it can be a little difficult to find just the right venue to break these out without looking like you're trying too hard (especially if you're over age 50, like me). But as with anything in life, a big dose of confidence goes a long way toward making a positive impression when wearing these. It also helps that the fit is good, and true to size, and that the quality of the sewing and the pleather is also decent. You'll just have to make your peace with the oddness of the cut: the silhouette reads lounge pants or sweatpants, but as comfortable as these are, you shouldn't (notice I didn't say CAN'T) actually wear fake leather to work out in, or even sling them on post-workout - though these beg to be worn with sneakers and gym socks. Likewise, a drawstring waist on leather pants is just...odd. Or maybe genius, because these disconcerting details is what sets these pants apart and makes them worth owning. Sp, if you're ready and able to work the h*ll out of these pants - brazenly attempting to wear them to church with an oversized white button down, for example - you'll be rewarded with an A+ in street style, along with many envious stares. Work these pants hard, and you'll look unique and cool - just don't let them work you. Read more
