Love the lining fabric, great piece.

The outer fabric is a nice quality stretchy velour rather than a true velvet. Which is good for a piece that has to be ordered without trying on and shipped (folded). It arrived without any crushing of the velvet texture. The lining and covered buttons are made of a soft satin charmeuse and that doesn't have any stretch (gives it just the right amount of structure). The sleeves aren't lined which allows for more flexibility in terms of fit. It means that the sleeve hem at the cuff is a simple rolled hem but I had planned to add a fur cuff to mine anyway. I ordered a medium but I think I would have also liked a small (the stretch makes the size pretty forgiving). Excellent jacket for the price. I bought for a Victorian Mrs. Clause costume element but will probably wear it as a regular piece after the holidays (after removing my added fur cuffs :). Read more
