I've had these boots a little over a month now, I think, and I'm finally getting them broken in. I ordered my usual size, a 10, and they were so tight and narrow I could barely get them on. I tried wearing them around the house to loosen them up, but it was too painful. I finally ordered a boot stretcher and that has made all the difference! I can easily pull them on now. While they look like they would be heavy, they are actually very light. The soles are made of a material similar to those lightweight, ugly, clogs we all love, and the uppers are leather with wide strips of elastic down the sides. There is no zipper, they are pull on. There's a tab on the back of the boots to help with that - but, that tab hits me right behind the bend of the knee. It's a little annoying when I sit down. For reference, the back of my leg from my heel to the bend of my knee is about 17". Other than that, I really like the style and look of these boots. Read more

I got these for my wife but it's a good thing that our kiddo wears the same shoe size. My wife was super disappointed because her calves are just a bit too much for these even with the stretchy material. She commented that she probably could have made these fit if they had a zipper. Rather than risk damaging the boots, my wife decided it'd be a safer choice to turn these over to our teen and she loves them. These boots look good and are well made. I'm told that they're pretty comfortable. Even though my wife was bummed that these didn't work for her, seeing how happy these made our kiddo makes up for that disappointment. What I liked about it: Great design aside from no zipper. My kiddo loves them. What I didn't like: Wouldn't fit my wife's calves. Overall, we recommend these boots if you have the calves that can fit them. Read more

I am a fan of this brand and was excited to see these boots, although they are expensive the leather is soft, the boots are well made and they are really beautiful so that helped in the decision to order them. When I got them home, I popped them on and they were really comfortable. I have a very high arch so they were a little snug on the top of my foot but again my arch is very high so if you have a normal arch this wouldn't be an issue at all. The stretch of the elastic works well and suits thinner and thicker calves. These are a luxury purchase but I canβt help but feel that Iβll be wearing them all fall and winter as they look good with dresses, leggings and over jeans. Read more

I'm a little bit confused by the hefty price tag on these boots. The listing says that they're made of leather. They do not smell like leather, and they do not feel like leather. I'm going to take these to a cobbler and double check. But I own a good deal of leather clothing and shoes, and I have questions about these. Also the shaft of this these boots are incredibly narrow. Even with the elastic side panels, that I assume should expand to help you slip your boots on and off, these are nearly impossible to get on. I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear and I have yet to get them on completely. They are extremely lightweight for leather, and the sole gives you no support. It is very grippy though. But nothing about the construction of these boots, in my opinion, warrants a $400 price tag. Read more

At first it can be just a bit of a struggle getting these stylish AllSaints Maeve boots off and on, and the toe box feels just a bit narrow on my feet, but they will most likely loosen up a bit with use- only time will tell. I ordered a size 10 and I generally wear a 9.5 or 10. I'm glad that I ordered the 10. The heel and sole are quite chunky and rugged, giving them a casual and slightly larger appearance, but also great gripping, non-slipping capability. These boots should be terrific for all terrain and weather, other than hot weather. They are definitely a more casual boot but will look great with leggings or jeans and the occasional casual skirt. I am eager to test them out more thoroughly as soon as the weather cools down a bit. I've been replacing my all-weather boots every fall for the last several years and I'm looking forward to not having to do that so often with a better quality pair of boots. Read more

These are very beautiful boots- they run just a bit small and the shaft is quite high. I wear 8.5 and these are just barely big enough. I will not be able to wear socks, only hose/tights, with them. I am 5'5" and the shaft of these comes up very high, sort of squeezing the little bit of fat I have around my knees, up and over the top of the boots. Not the most attractive look! If you have long lower legs that are fairly thin these will work for you. For anyone else, these may not be the best option- but they are well made and look beautiful. For reference I am 5'5" and 170lbs with a medium build and hourglass shape- 55 y/o Read more

These boots are really cute and obviously very well-made. Unfortunately theyβre designed for someone with how much slimmer calf than I have. I will grant Iβm not the very slimmest person, but these just really did me no favors. The top of the boot cut me off right below the knee and caused a weird little bulge out of knee fat. Also, because there is no zipper, they were pretty tricky to get on and definitely could never be worn with a pair of pants - not even leggings. If you feel like knee-high boots are always way too big around your lower leg, then this pair is for you. Read more
