Identity crisis
This product doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. It’s listed as both a concealer and a foundation, radiant and matte, heavy coverage and lightweight, watery and waterproof. It’s like they threw all the words in there hoping to appeal to everyone. I feel like the company would have benefited from having a native English speaker do the box translation for English speaking countries. First impressions weren’t great as I took off the top and the pump fell into my lap. I was able to get it clicked back on and it worked, so not a huge issue in the end. For me, personally, it is not lightweight. It doesn’t go on “watery,” but rather more like a cream or moisturizer. The moist feeling might be good for the winter, but it left me feeling like I needed powder over it to combat some of the dewy feeling on my face. I also felt like I needed the powder to get more of a blurring effect because the foundation alone didn’t seem to offer enough coverage and was settling into my forehead creases. This product would probably benefit from using a primer first, but considering the first ingredient is water and the second is mineral oil, I wouldn’t know if I should use a water based or oil based primer to avoid separating. It smells nice which isn’t always the case with foundation, so that’s nice. But I did have to touch up my nose after a few hours and the oil content caused my mascara to give me raccoon eyes which doesn’t normally happen with my regular powder foundation. I’ll keep this to try again during the deep part of winter when my skin is drier, but it isn’t going to be an every day foundation for me. Read more
