I am very happy with this purchase. I bought it for work; I have a 9 to 5 desk job, and as I'm sure many of you know sometimes a warm cup of joe (or two... or three) is the only thing keeping your eyes on your screen. This cup works as advertised - it keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for an extended period or time. With the lid on, this mug can easily keep coffee at optimal temperature for at least 3 hours. The first day I used it, I poured my coffee at 8:30am and it was still enjoyably warm by noon. Usually I finish my coffee in a much shorter span of time, so I feel this was a true test of its effectiveness. I have used it with cold drinks only twice so far, but with both occasions the ice was lasted the entire time I drank. The size is perfect for me too. I like a cup of coffee in the morning and occasionally tea in the afternoon, but I don't like large serving 8 to 12 oz is enough for me. This sparkly purple is so fun and cute, and looks darling on my desk! I'm a lover of pretty things, and this fits in with my whole vibe perfectly. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lid. That's not to say it's awful. It works excellent as far as the seal goes - that thing ain't going nowhere once it's on and its the main reason that the cup is able to maintain the desired temperature. But that being said I just... don't like it. I feel that it's a bit awkward, and also I feel that I'm not able to finish all of my drink because the placement of the opening. I find that I am more comfortable using the mug without the lid, which kinda defeats the purpose of the purchase in the first place. Even so, I still like this product and am happy to use it on a regular basis. It's at a price point where I am pleased with the quality and comfortable recommending it to others. I love these Aloufea cups and just recently bought three more. They keep hot drinks/foods super hot and cold things icy cold. The clear plastic lid helps secure the contents and the flip opening is easy to operate and I prefer it to a slide opening. The colors are gorgeous. The only downside is that the cups have to be washed and dried by hand. I discovered this myself when one of the two original cups I bought lost a lot of its paint in the dishwasher. The fine-print instructions now have a warning about this. The integrity of the cup isn't compromised, but now it has lost its looks. Read more

My regular coffee mug would let the coffee get cold too quickly so I purchased this mug. Some of said that the top doesn't properly fit or doesn't come off easily. It depends a lot on how you grab it and pull it off. You cannot force the top on and you cannot be heavy-handed with it when you pull it off. This mode does a awesome job of keeping my coffee extremely hot and I have found that it keeps it warm enough to where I don't even need the lid on most occasions. Whether it's hot or cold this mug delivers. It's very light and well-made and I will never need to buy another. Read more
