Hey so I’m a “sock guy” where my feet NEED to be warm for the rest of me to follow. Lately I’ve been wearing double socks in the cold weather, with ankle socks under normal socks. A bit tight on the toes but it works. I’ve tried wool and because I’m on my feet all day, the socks and feet end of kinda damp from the warmth and sweat. I bought these Alpaca socks just taking a chance. Few things you’ll realize immediately. The softest socks you’ll ever feel and your feet will thank you. The quality seems very good and I’m hoping they hold up. I wanted to test them for how they would hold up in cold weather, during my day. Yesterday it never got above 28 and I have to say, my feet were never cold. Toes were good. Wasn’t a damp feeling at any point from the warmth your feeling, even at the end. The boot socks are a bit thicker then the crew socks and go up your leg a bit farther but helps in really just warming your whole lower leg. There is no way you could ever put these in the dryer and they recommend hand washing them or gentle cold cycle and then air dry. They are blended with merino wool as well and the price seems about average with other places offering the same. Read more
