The size and fit was perfect. I was being recommended the X-Large but I knew if I got the Large it would fit much more snuggly and won't have too long a fingers. I don't want these gloves to be loose at all so going for the Large was a good idea but my hand is probably inbetween sizes and therefore could go either one. The result is the glove is filled up with my hand with no bagginess to it and at the same time allows my hand to make a fist. I got the olive color which is really three complimentary colors of olive, brown and black. It looks very nice and all of the colors are dark and can look black in low light conditions. The materials are super strong and so is the stitching. I did not see any errors in the stitching or individual pieces of leather and hard shell plastic. The plastic is exceedingly hard and strong and is referred to as thermoplastic rubber. The fabric material is a nylon/synth blend making it breathable and strong. The wrist is low cut and has an adjustable strap securing itself to your hand. CCan be worn for long periods at a time because the glove is comfortable and not abrasive. It's a really nice quality glove for only $20 per hand which is totally worth it given the nice quality and design of these gloves. Read more

I am a female motorcycle rider and for me these gloves are awesome. They are marketed for men but in my opinion I'm not sure a man's hand will fit very easily in the wrist part in the Small size. That being said they're GREAT for my short stubby hands. My width of my hand just under my thumb to the other side (which is the widest part) is 3 5/8 inches and it's a snug fit for me. My wrist is 2 3/8 width and the fit is tight yet perfect which I have yet to find in another glove. My wrist velcro is always all the way to the end where it's barely attached (too big) just to get a snug fit but not with these. They're a perfect fit at my wrist. I used these in 53° sunny weather for a 20 min ride and my hands didn't get cold. They provide good air blockage by the material. I do have short fingers which my hand from bottom of my palm to the tip of my middle finger is 6.5 inches which did leave a tad bit of room at the ends of each finger but not a huge deal since when I'm riding my fingers are curled anyway and it wasn't enough to stop the touch features to work, which did work well for my phone. So, I really like the OD/black color scheme and design on these. My glove sizing sucks, by measurements, I'm usually at the half size in between medium and large. If I get a pair of medium, they fit like a glove, but kind of hurt my hand when I stretch my fingers out because they're too tight. When I get a large, usually they fit good but fingers are too long. Well, these actually feel pretty snug for me in size large, and I'm sure if I got medium then they would've been too tight. So, I would believe if you're stuck between two sizes then you should probably go up like I did. The knuckle protection is a plastic-type material, nothing fantastic, but it will protect your knuckles from light banging around. The main brand with this type of knuckle protection costs more, so by price this is decently competitive. AlpineSwiss at least is a brand that's been around awhile and it's not a flybynight brand, so that's another plus. Overall, I like these gloves. Read more
This may come as a surprise to many people, but these gloves are ideally suited for use in self-defense. They provide a very strong protection for your knuckles, which is the part of the hand that often gets broken in self-defense OK I'm I'm bout right go, while at the same time they provide a hard surface for delivering maximum force to an opponent. I haven't used these in self-defense, but I would estimate that you would never break your knuckles, but you would deliver bone crushing blows to an opponent. These gloves are very well made and if they are taken care of properly, should last for many years. For what you're getting, these are a good value. And they are comfortable to wear. My hands are 10cm across and 21cm wrist to finger tip, and the XXL is tight on me, loose enough to wear, but tight enough that the seems bother my fingers and all five fingers are pressed fully into the tips. I almost feel as if they are made for youth because of this. I know many people with larger hands than mine and cannot fathom that this should be an XXL, at first I thought they shipped the wrong size, but the label on the gloves says XXL. Because of the small size of the gloves, the small tightening velcro strap is completely useless and more in the way than a method for securing the gloves. the protection these offer is the best I've seen though, and because of that, these are my everyday riding gloves when the temps are greater than 50F. There is a good chance I will look for a new pair as the temps rise. Read more
