I have a giant 49" monitor at home, so I don't use my Macbooks screen unless I am traveling. I wanted something that I could use to keep my macbook off my standup desk and still use the functionality of it for work. I work at home, so I am always looking for ways to increase efficiency. I looked at a ton of these types of stands and this one not only fit perfectly, but it matches the color of my black Macbook well. The stand is sturdy and nicely padded and does a great job at a simple task, keeping my laptop vertical, while protecting it. It looks nice too and I also put my iPad in the second slot when I am not using it. It is adjustable and while others complain about how you adjust it, I had zero issues and got it right on the first try. I had the same problem another reviewer had, two laptops of different thickness. With the thicker one sitting in the bracket, the thinner one would sag and not stay upright. The key is loosening the rings at the base, sandwiching the 1st laptop with it on its end and using a pair of pliers to tighten the rings so the bracket doesn't come loose. Do this for both sides sizing the laptop thickness and tightening. Only 4 stars because I don't like the mechanism and having to use a tool to tighten it (the rings are small and hard to get leverage on with just fingers). We will see how long the brackets stay tight like this. The good: I use a dock through a USB C cable to transmit the laptops to two large screens and I frequently switch between both laptops. This gives me so much more desk space and I can position the ends of the laptops so both ends with the power and USB-C ports are facing me for easy switch overs. The only issue is if the laptops will not wake and I have to take one out and open it to get to the power button. Sturdy base, no worries about the laptops falling over. Read more

Purchases this for my laptop for when i am working from home.. my laptop fits securely in docking stand. I have multiple cords that run from my laptop to screens and power strip & this help as it doesn’t take as much room up on my desk; the quality and weight of product is durable. When i need to bring my laptop to work i simply pull it out and it’s very easy to put right back in… its pretty much my foundation & gives me the ability to be able to connect all my cords without it looking a mess too!
