Washing: I ran it through a rinse cycle first (my standard for any new brightly-colored sweater), then machine washed cold, tumble dried low (to "barely dry" on my dryer settings). It came out looking and feeling great. No need to lay flat to dry or any of that nonsense which I don't have time for! I checked the lint trap afterward and there were a handful of red fibers, but nothing excessive. There also happened to be a white sock left in the washer accidentally, and it did not come out pink - so the dye must be decently colorfast. Materials: 46% acrylic, 45% nylon, 5% wool, 4% spandex - The sewn in tag matches the product description, which is important to me. I like the addition of wool as it does tend to offer some temperature regulation benefits, even in small amounts. This sweater feels like it runs a bit "hot" but not excessively like pure acrylic sweaters. It's not noticeably scratchy from the wool, and once it's been on for a few minutes just feels soft and cozy. The small amount of spandex adds a significant amount of stretch, and so this can be a pretty form-fitting garment if you order your usual size. It does show some underarm pilling after wearing it for ~20 hours with a decent amount of movement. I've come to accept this as a part of wearing soft sweaters and will just plan to use my sweater shaver every few washes. The arms are almost long enough to reach my knuckles - I'm 5'4", if that makes any difference. They are easy enough to cuff up when I want freer movement, but usually I keep them un-cuffed because my hands get cold! Read more

This sweater is surprisingly soft and comfortable. Sometimes these fabrics can be a bit irritating on my sensitivity skin, but not this! Though it is not angora, it definitely has that soft luxurious feel. It is a bit lower cut in the front for my taste, but I paired it with a black tank and black leggings and it was adorable! I usually wear a medium and ordered a large in this based on size chart and previous reviews and very glad I did. It is a fitted type of sweater, so if you are looking for a looser fit, size up (probably 2 or more sizes). Had I ordered a medium it would have been too small and not fitted but just looked too small. The sleeve length is great because I love to keep my hands warm in winter, but they can easily be cuffed without looking out of place. I absolutely love the light punk color and feel its great quality for the money. For reference I am 5'2" and 132 pound. I hate reviews that tell you what size they ordered but you have no frame of reference. I am usually a medium, I ordered this in a large and it fit perfectly for a more fitted appearance. Read more

In this instance I'm super glad I picked this up in black. It's not the most flattering shade on my complexion, but it's pretty thin and very slim fitting, I'd be worried the beige color would be pretty sheer and perhaps less flattering. As it is though it's really nice. The material is soft, the cut on it is really nice outside of the slim... love the hood. It's really warm and cozy, though I imagine some of that is the fit and how I wear it as well. I like it on days I'm wearing compression when it makes me feel a little prettier. Directions definitely indicate hand wash, but so far it's holding up through the wash on a gentle cycle in a lingerie bag, and I've been air drying it as I don't want or need any potential shrinkage.
