I carefully read reviews before purchasing as this item is fairly expensive. My experience so far based on those other reviews: (1) its easy to fill the reservoir, it doesn't have to be done from height and doesn't spill; (2) "brown water, morning poo and hair on your chest" is possibly the most entertaining description of the settings I've seen and of course hair on your chest was the first one I had to try and its dead on, was far too strong for me and I've settled down with "morning poo" with 1 scoop per 4 cup setting of water on the pot (old coffee maker was 6 total scoops to make 3 finished cups with 1 cup evaporating somewhere during the brew cycle, a total waste of expensive coffee) ; (3) glass carafe easy to wash out; (4) I drink my coffee fairly quickly, so a 30 minute hot plate is more than long enough for me; (5) unless I missed it, nobody commented about the nice spot on the top to set your coffee cup to warm up during the brew cycle? I really like that as I'm not having to run hot water in the sink to prewarm the cup. Great little machine. Love the look, the simplicity (on/off button and a push button dial for strength setting) and wow, it makes a really, really good pot of coffee. Read more

If you're looking for a 4 cup coffee pot to replace your old ugly cheap black one, this is it. A beautifully designed appliance, and it makes great coffee too. A little on the expensive side, but again, you're not getting the ugly one for your money. Since it's just my husband that drinks coffee, I don't need an assortment of all those little k-cups and this fills the bill. I had some questions for the seller a couple of months after my purchase, and they were very responsive. Very happy with their customer service. I bought the white/rose gold trim coffee maker, and I am happy to have this pretty little coffee pot on display in my kitchen (instead of the ugly one.) Thank Amaste! Read more

Mid 20th-century modern look without the mid 20-th century build. It is compact and takes about the same space as my previous 5-cup brewer. Two-button control is easy to operate and reliable, though it is not programable which at this price point seems like it should have been. Glass carafe seems a bit thin, but I haven't broken it yet and the carafe from my old brewer also fits. The carafe pours well without a tendency to spill, which is a nice improvement from my other. I fill the carafe with water to the metal ring and pour that in the reservoir, which slightly exceeds the max fill line in the reservoir. I have had no issues with spillage or leaking on the counter. The instruction book does suggest making sure the filter is not clogged if that does happen. The included reusable filter is a definite step up from my previous; it brews coffee without allowing grounds in the pot. Nice! For me the brew is fine on the middle setting, at least as good as my old brewer. As others have noted, the coffee is not as hot as typical. I'd say the temperature is lawsuit safe (thanks lawyers 🙄) but won't satisfy everyone. Not an issue for me. If it isn't quite hot enough, I'll zap it in the microwave. So far, the machine overall is working fine for me. I will update this review if that changes. One month update: Use it every day, no problems. Filling the reservoir can be a bit tricky if you insist on emptying a full pot of water into the reservoir. I suggest stopping when you can pour no more and stay close to the reservoir opening. 6-month update: Use it every day. Works great. Has been completely reliable for me. Never leaks water, but you might spill water while filling the reservoir if you try to pour too fast. Happy with the purchase. 14-month update: Still using it every day, and it is still working great without problems. One thing to be aware of is that in the upper part of the back is a small overfill drain hole. If the carafe is filled too much, then the water level will exceed the max allowable capacity, and water will drain out of the overfill hole and onto the counter. I can reliably fill the carafe up to the bottom of the metal ring without causing an overflow, so that is what I always take care to do. Overall, works as well and looks as good as the day I bought it. I do wish the top of the carafe was easily removable for cleaning. Read more

One word to describe this coffee maker is “beautiful,” but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. I purchased my first unit on 8/14/23. It didn’t last a year before it had to be replaced. I loved the look and the low profile, and I assumed it was just an unusual situation. However, I purchased a second one on 2/23/24, and it broke on 12/1/25. One failure I could overlook, but two machines breaking around a year clearly points to a manufacturing issue. I suppose “disappointed” would be the next best word to describe this machine. My recommendation: choose a different model unless you want something purely decorative. If that’s the case, I have a barely-used unit that would fit perfectly on a display shelf. Read more

This little coffee maker makes good coffee. It’s also a beautiful design. The best part of the coffee maker is that I can choose the strength (light, medium, or dark.) Read more

Pretty design. Makes a decent cup of coffee, and the strength knob kind of does its job. A few design flaws stand out: the carafe leaks and spills unless you pour at a snail’s pace, and the machine died after about 18 months of use. Read more
