What can I say except that I love this watch. I had my eye on the Falcon, which is more rugged for sure, but I'm glad I decided on the Balance 2. 1. The sensors are next level. O2, heart rate, compass, I tested most of them against quality stand-alone devices and this watch held it's own. It's extremely accurate, simple to use, and doesn't drain a ton of power. 2. The saphire crystal is outstanding, and coupled with the steel chassis styling and finish, the watch just looks and feels like quality and class. Yes, sapphire is a bit more smudgy with the fingerprints, but a trade-off I can live with for sapphire. 3. The Zepp OS is simple yet rock solid. True, the app universe isn't as vast as Android Wear OS or Apple watchOS, but to me that's a good thing. It keeps the watch a watch, not a phone on your wrist. I appreciate the distinction. 4. Comfort is good, but to be perfect requires a better band. That said, the band it comes with is good quality and comfortable for 24/7 wear. I wear it at night for sleep tracking and a morning wake-up alarm. As an alarm, the vibration is enough to wake me up, and I'm hard of hearing and a heavy sleeper. 5. Battery life is remarkable for a smart watch, averaging just over 2 weeks on a full charge, and taking about an hour to fully recharge. That's with regular daily use of GPS, Bluetooth, fitness, notifications, alarms, and other typical use of the watch. My Wear OS watch got about a day and a half, and my watchOS watch got about a day. The magnetic charging base is a plus as well, but I'd love to see this evolve to use Qi charging instead of magnetic contacts, but that's not a deal breaker. True, the trade-offs and battery savings come from the lack of poorly optimized energy-hungry apps and data-gathering sensors, but like I said earlier, this is a blessing, not a curse, and the long battery life was primary selling point for me. Overall, this is a fantastic watch, one I would easily buy again. The quality of the frame, the sapphire crystal, the elegant styling, all qualities I'd expect to find in a $300 watch. So if you're wondering if this watch is worth the money I'd say yes, to me it is. Buy one and judge for yourself. Read more

I usually have all things Apple. Yeah, I'm THAT guy. M4 MacBook Pro, M3 iMac mini, iPhones, and of course, my iWatch. But, I've always felt the watch was MISSING something. Or some THINGS. On a whim, I decided to try this Amazefit Balance 2 smartwatch. Now that I'm using it, do I think it's better than Apple's iWatch? Let's see if it checks the boxes. It's features are more robust, it's ease of use is nothing short of INSANE, it's capabilites as a smartwatch are LEAGUES above my iWatch. Also, I get all of the vast number of alerts, texts, and call capabilities I've become used to on my iPhone, and MORE. Larger, brighter and better quality Screen? MAJOR CHECK. Longer battery life? MEGA-CHECK to the tune of WEEKS. Better UI, options and tons of VERY cool watch faces? UBER-CHECK to the moon. Superior medical monitoring and sports and workout tracking and options? MASTER CHECK. Interconnectivity with my iPhone? BEAUTIMUS CHECK. AI connection? ChatGPT is IN the watch via the app. So, MENTAL CHECK. Bluetooth phone calls and text capabilities with my iPhone? SYSTEM CHECK. And cost? You could buy TWO of these for the cost of an iWatch, so PRICE CHECK. Look, I rarely write reviews, not have I ever received requests or compensation for same, nor would I want that. This is a loyal Apple fan telling Apple (leans in, and quietly says) ... "Uh...guys? Be AFRAID. THIS is what your watch should be doing for me." Think I'm just on a rant? I'm giving my iWatch away. Yeah, I'm doing it. I'm THAT guy. My iWatch had me for a while, but THIS watch? Miles beyond. If you are even SLIGHTLY considering this watch, take it from a very loyal Apple user and fanboy (Looks both ways and whispers) "Buy this beast, and get ready to have your techno world ROCKED." It really is that incredible. Update: Weeks later, this watch is MUCH better than my above review. I STRONGLY recommend this watch. SO glad I found it. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get this watch. It's a MAJOR game changer. October 07, 2025 - Still loving this watch! Fantastic! Read more

I recently got this watch about 2 months ago. The main reason was the battery life and it definitely met and surpassed expectations. I go 5-7 days without needing to charge and even at that, it never goes below 40% and I never charged it more than 80%. The only downside for me is that the body weight does not allow to record bf% and the sound settings are a bit wonky. Apps are also a bit limited but I do get notified on my watch for the main apps I need (outlook, Teams, whatsapp etc). Read more

Setting up the watch was very easy, installation and syncing took just a few minutes. The overall build feels very sturdy, especially the watch surface. It comes with two straps, and surprisingly, the red one looks very nice. The health apps are definitely a highlight. There’s a one-tap health check that gives full snapshot of the body metrics in less than one minute, which is super convenient. One of the features I like the most is the food intake tracker. You can take a photo of your meal, and the app accurately identifies the food and gives you calorie and nutrition information. I even tried it with a juice without a label, and it correctly show what it was! The Aura app dashboard is clean and easy to read. It summarizes all my health data and includes natural sounds to help with meditation. I’m also looking forward to trying the jet lag manager on my next trip. It’s very cool! It gives a personalized schedule on when to stay active, seek or avoid light, and sleep based on your itinerary. Read more
