Soft, warm and very stylish
I took a chance on this item - no reviews yet, import (Chinese), unknown brand - and it paid off. This is a really nice sweater, a medium to heavy weight Henley, with a 7-button opening (about twice the usual number), raglan sleeves, good banding at the collar, cuffs and waist, and surprisingly soft. It feels like a good quality wool sweater, and it looks like cashmere. Now for the weird part: the seams are exposed, making the sweater appear inside-out. I'm okay with this - it was a fashion trend when I was young, and I guess it's come back into style. The fact that I was familiar with this style was a big plus - I knew it was a statement and not a sewing mistake - and now that I've worn it a couple of times, I'm remembering why we liked this style so much back in my day. It's just different enough to be eye-catching, but too subtle to be over-the-top. It gives the sweater a youthful, casual feel. A note on care: I wash all my woolens in a mesh bag in the washer, with cool water and ordinary laundry detergent. Then I line-dry them, and I never have any problems. A note on size: Because this item is from China, I would go up a size or two, depending on how loose you like your garments. I went up one size and that works well for me. Read more
