I like this thing way more than I expected to. I’ve had several different styles of sleep masks. This one is by far my favorite. It feels like there is nothing over my eyes; nothing touches my lashes or the skin near the eye. Super lightweight on the face and smooth fabric. No lines imprinted on my face after wearing. The design — once placed properly — blocks light very well (only spot I have an issue sometimes is at the bridge of the nose as mine is very narrow), and the blackness created improves my sleep quality. There is an adjustable slide on the strap so you can fit the elastic to your liking. As someone with a big head who hates the feeling of wearing a tourniquet on it, this is a much-appreciated feature. The mask (because of the smooth fabric) does slide a little bit if one is restless, but isn’t uncomfortable at all, and I’ve had some with silicone to prevent slippage but found those uncomfortable. The smoothness makes it simple to slide the mask up, say to check the click or phone, and back into place. It’s not hot to wear and hasn’t caused breakouts or skin issues. Very pleased with it. About four years ago, I bought an excellent sleep mask that was discontinued on Amazon. I looked high and low for a mask that worked as well and bought 4 different types, but could not find one that fit as nicely or felt as good. My last search involved scrutinizing the up-close images of dozens and dozens of masks. None of them matched the type that was discontinued. Then I saw this one... Looking closely, I could see that it was shaped exactly the same way. It had the same specific type of padding on the nose bridge, the same deep cups, and the same shape on the upper and outer edges. It was the only one that matched the discontinued mask. These also improve on those older ones by replacing the velcro with an adjustable clip. I'm completely satisfied with these masks. I suspect sleep masks are somewhat personal because everybody's face has a different shape, but this one totally blacks out the light for me. It is completely comfortable and fits lightly and easily. I have always had trouble sleeping in an environment with any light, even a night light, so I purchased this sleep mask to see if it might improve my sleep. This sleep mask is actually a set of two masks that come in a resealable plastic pouch for storage. Depending upon how you place your order, you will either receive two blue masks, two black masks, or one of each color. The mask itself is very lightweight and soft. It has a semi-rigid oval shape over the eyes which eliminates pressure against the eye while wearing it. Its elastic strap has a hook and loop closure on the end so the fit of the mask can be easily adjusted. After adjusting the mask to fit comfortably on my head I tried wearing it to bed both last night and again while taking a nap earlier today. Light is completely blocked by wearing the mask, which I really like. When lying on my back in bed, the mask is comfortable to wear and does not put any pressure against my eyes. I’m a side sleeper, though, and when I rolled onto my side the mask became quickly uncomfortable, putting pressure against the side of my nose and maxillary sinus area. Unlike a cloth mask, this mask retains its shape when pressed against a pillow, and the pillow then pushes it slightly sideways. As such I was unable to sleep comfortably. I really wanted to like this mask as its description seemed ideal. And it probably would be ideal for anyone to wear while sleeping upright (e.g. while traveling on an airplane) or on their back. But if you are a side sleeper like me, it may be too uncomfortable to wear. I try to write informative product reviews. These are wonderful. I have severe dry eyes. My eyes are large since birth, and I do not close them completely while l sleep. I do put Refresh drops in them in the morning. And most importantly, when I sleep, I wear this mask. I used to buy the simple, cheap flat ones. Wrong! I decided to try these because the eye cover part is slightly rounded, and I have long lashes. Fantastic - no more crinkled or twisted lashes. My eyes can move normally as they should during sleep/dream. Also nice to use in hospital. I was in for a few days, and those lights never go off. So glad I brought a one with me. The back strap is adjustable through Velcro so it fits your head nicely. No metal clip or closure on these. Read more
