My current phone is only a few years old but it’s getting harder and harder to charge using the charging port. I’ve tried cleaning it and blowing it out with compressed air but the contacts don’t seem to be connecting much anymore. This isn’t really an issue if you have a wireless charger. This is my first one but it seems reliable. It takes a few seconds to begin charging once it’s on and it may charge a little slower than a wired connection but I’ll take that over inserting the cable a dozen times hoping it works at all. And since it’s angled you can still use your phone while it’s charging if you need to! And it’s cheap! Win win I say. Recommended. Read more

Overall I liked the product. My only quibble is the activity light on the front of the item. For some reason the designers did not allow the light to differentiate between charging and being fully charged - both show a pulsing blue light, which is also confirmed by the instructions. The only way to know if the phone is fully charged is to turn it on and check the battery level. Seems like a no-brainer to have the light turn solid or turn a different color when the phone is fully charged. My only other quibble is that when you take the phone off the charger, the light stays a solid blue - forever, it does not shut off when not in use. Common sense would dictate that when you put the phone on the charger it would show a pulsing blue light to indicate charging, a solid blue light to indicate that the charging is complete and it turns off when the phone is removed. I did put a non wireless phone on the charger to see what happened and got a green light indicating a foreign object. Other than these issues, the charger had no problems charging an iPhone with an Otterbox case on and seemed to charge it fairly quickly without a high speed charging adapter. Read more

Great design that allows you to use your phone while it's charging. Easy to use and doesn't take up much space. I bought to use at my office and keep it by my computer which allows me to use for video calls while it is charging. Great value and quality. Read more

The "Welcome Guide" which was essentially all picture showed the charging stand attached via the supplied cable to a generic wall charger. It said, "only use QC3.0/PD3.0 charger from a reputable manufacturer." The folded paper that also came with it also didn't show or talk about what kind of charger this stand likes or needs. I currently use an Anker A2669 wall charger (a fairly standard wall charger that has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port; I think that Anker qualifies as THE most reputable wall charger manufacturer) connected to an Anker 313 charging stand, which works fine, but it takes a micro-USB cable rather than an USB-C cable like this Amazon Basics one. I was hoping for a charging stand with a USB-C connector; that way if I need a quicker charge I can take the cable out of the charging stand and plug it directly into the phone. And, every time the Anker 313 charging stand gets hit by a powerline glitch, it starts blinking green and I have to pull the cable out of it and insert the cable again. (Standard tech support advice: "Do a power-off reboot of your device!") After this it works fine until the next powerline glitch. I used the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to attach the Amazon charging stand to the USB-A port on the Anker 2669. The Amazon charging stand light turned on, a dim blue. I put my phone (Samsung S24+) on it, and it started charging. Yay! But then about a second later, the light started blinking bright green. I looked at the manual and this said, and I paraphrase slightly, "AAAAAAHHH! NOOOOOO! I can't deal with this wall charger! StopitStopitStopit!" ("Incompatible Charger") I tried this several times to make sure it wasn't a one-off. Nope, happened every time. And this charger supports PPS, which is a backward-compatible enhancement to PD3.0. I also tried this on an Anker 2039/523 which also supports PD 3.0, and the same thing happened: blinking green light, refusing to charge. I tried plugging it into a USB-C connector on the back of my PC. The stand blinked blue but wouldn't charge the phone. Read more

I have an IPhone SE 2nd gen. This is without a doubt the BEST charger I've ever had for it. Fits perfectly, charges consistently, never overheats, and is decently quick. I LOVE this charger. Also, it's versatile and works on almost any phone. Can be used with the phone upright, or laying on its side. Even if your phone has a big camera lens bump on the back, you can just lay the camera on its side to charge, so the lens bump is off the charger. I sometimes charge mine on its side so I can read while it charges. Love this charger. Read more

I bought this to place next to my bed. I had a flat round disc style of wireless charger, but it kept failing to charge my phone overnight. The shape and design of this unit makes it easy to ensure that the phone is in the proper position for charging. I have a similar charger at work on my desk (different brand), The only thing that I wished that Amazon Basics unit had is an indicator light that changes color when it is charging. The light indicates that there is power going to the charger, but the one on my desk changes to green, and I wish this one did as well. It charges my phone pretty quickly. It is a well constructed and sturdy unit. I haven't noticed any heat issues, and I haven't had a single night where the unit failed to charge my phone. It also positions the phone in such a way that it is easy to use while it's charging (it will charge the phone in landscape as well as portrait. Good unit. I would recommend. Read more
