I have tried every expensive brand of chalk marker out there, and have followed people on tik tok to get their suggestions; and let me tell you, these amazon markers are 100% better quality in color, coverage, and flow out of the marker. I only wish they came in more colors! One of the standout features is how smoothly they write. The flow of ink is consistent, with no skips or smudges, making it a breeze to create clean, sharp lines. The nibs offer great precision, which is perfect for detailed art or fine writing. Plus, the ink dries quickly, so I don't have to worry about accidental smudges ruining my designs. Cleanup is incredibly easy with these markers. A simple wipe with a damp cloth and the chalkboard or whiteboard surface is spotless again, but if you touch it with dry hands it doesn't smudge or worse erase. I use these on my chalk boards (calendar and menu) at home, and white board at the office. This makes them perfect for temporary projects and frequent updates, whether it's a classroom, café, business presentation, or home message board. What’s more, these chalk markers are versatile. They work beautifully on various non-porous surfaces including chalkboards, glass, metal, and even plastic. I’ve found endless uses for them, from seasonal window art on my plexiglass window in my office cubical, to window art on my house windows, to DIY crafts and labeling containers. Overall, these chalk markers offer exceptional quality, ease of use, and versatility. They have quickly become a staple for me. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for chalk markers!! Read more

I haven't is all the colors yet and the ones I have used it was only a minimal project. So far so good as they write smoothly and dry quickly to avoid smearing. The colors I've used are nice and bright and match the caps. Amazon did ship the item quickly and I got the markers and all the same colors as the ad showed. However even though I don't think one was promised to me in the ad I am still disappointed that it didn't come with any kind of case or bag or anything to keep the markers in. If they turn out to be long lasting and fantastic markers I might come back and change my review to reflect that they were worth having to buy a case separately. I don't have a huge expectation of these markers as I realize they are generic and I bought them because the price was good. But I still think a cheap case would have been a huge Improvement over having these loose markers. I couldn't keep them in the shipping box they came in as that was oversized for this product and would have been very impractical. But because of the price and nothing appearing to be wrong with them right off the bat I would probably still recommend them to somebody to purchase. Read more
Jay Fray—March 15, 2025
Jay Fray here with the unexpected chalk marker revelation you didn't know you needed. Let's cut to it—these Amazon Basics chalk markers are genuinely impressive for the price point. The reversible bullet/chisel tips are actually functional, not just marketing nonsense. Fine lines stay crisp, bold strokes stay solid, and the tips don't mush out after minimal use like most budget markers. The color payoff is straight-up shocking. These lay down vibrant, opaque lines that pop dramatically on dark surfaces without that weak, streaky disappointment most chalk markers deliver. Even on non-porous surfaces, these bad boys give professional-grade coverage without the professional-grade price tag. Ink flow is consistent—no embarrassing dry spots mid-stroke or random ink floods ruining your work. The only actual drawback? They do leave that classic chalky residue on glass that takes a bit of effort to clean off completely. Small price to pay for markers that actually perform as advertised. Surprisingly durable too—left the caps off for hours accidentally (we've all been there) and they didn't dry out into useless plastic sticks. The caps click securely so they don't mysteriously dry out in your drawer between uses. Jay Fray verdict: Unexpectedly legit tools that perform well above their price class. Just keep a damp cloth handy for glass cleanup and you're golden. Creative fire without setting your wallet on fire. Read more

These write really well. I used them to write on the black lab tables in my classroom. The kids loved how bright they were, with the exception of the purple which was hard to see. They were hard to erase but I think that was the table, not the markers. Read more

Great colors, show up well. However, I wouldn’t call it a fine point. Yeah, compared to a chisel, it’s fine, but you can’t do small print. it’s a measured 2mm line. It also says you can do chiseled or fine tip, but it’s only a point tip. Read more
