I recently picked up the Amazon Basics Dish Soap in Fresh Scent hoping to save a few dollars, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. While it doesn't foam up quite as intensely as the name-brand options, I found that just a small squirt was totally effective at cutting through grease and getting my pots and pans clean, even after a messy weeknight dinner. The "Fresh Scent" is mild and clean—not overpowering or heavily perfumed, which I appreciate—and it didn't leave my hands feeling overly dry or stripped of moisture. For the price point, this soap delivers solid cleaning power and a great everyday experience, making it a permanent switch for my kitchen sink. Read more

This dish soap is very comparable to the name brands only at a better price. The quality and quantity is unbeatable. I will continue to purchase this product. It lasts a long time and cleans pots, pans, dishes, and glass well without spotting. Read more

You get a lot of soap for the price. It actually works very well and suds up just fine. Read more

I’m giving this 4 stars. It definitely gets the job done and has a nice, fresh scent. The grease-cutting power is solid, especially for the price and the large 50oz size. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the consistency—it’s not as thick as Dawn or Palmolive. Because it's a bit thinner, I feel like I have to use a little more on the sponge to get the same amount of suds. Still, it’s a great value and I love that it's phosphate-free! Read more

I love this! What a deal and it suds up just like the other blue beans everyone buys that is so much more pricey! I’ll always buy this dishsoap now that I have discovered it!!!!! No smell and the soap does not leak out over the top which is nice for cleanup. It clean the dishes just as it should without having to rewash them!!! Read more

I rated this product 3 stars because it's genuinely "meh"—neither significantly wowed nor hated. The core issue driving this middling score is the unwieldy size and handling of the bottle. The Problem: Ignoring Market Standards (50 oz) This 50 oz bottle is simply too large for daily use. Even for someone with large hands, it is nearly impossible to grab the slick, oversized container with one hand when wet and soapy. If you squeeze the bottle to gain a secure grip—a natural reaction—and the lid is open, you will inevitably shoot a geyser of soap up the nozzle. Amazon needs to recognize that the industry standard for single-bottle dish soap is around 20 oz for a reason; this size was chosen after years of market research for optimal daily comfort and usability. While a slightly smaller 30 oz size exists, it is only sold in an inconvenient 4-pack, and even that capacity is likely on the large side for easy, one-handed dispensing. My strongest suggestion to Amazon is to offer a single bottle closer to the 20 oz norm. The Best Feature: The Nozzle The one thing I truly appreciate is the nozzle and lid mechanism. It controls the flow much better than the leading name brand, which tends to dispense soap far too quickly. This bottle design gives you more control over the amount you use. Cleaning Performance: This soap feels different than the competition. It seems less water-soluble; instead of instantly dissolving when hit with water, it slushes around and requires a bit of scrubbing action to fully break up. I'm still determining if this difference in consistency means it cleans better or worse, but it's a key distinction from the established market. Overall, it's a functional, budget-friendly soap with a great dispenser, but the sheer size of the bottle makes it cumbersome and frustrating for routine kitchen use. Read more

Great soap! BUT it is extremely slippery. I have broken 2 glass cups and dropped a knife I was cleaning (and grabbed by the blade on accident OUCH) since using those for the last month. Love the soap, smells great, but just be wary of the slipperiness of it when hand washing dishes Read more
