This mouthwash is a favorite in our home. The benefits and quality of the product are just as good as the national brand, if not better. This is something that I foresee purchasing time and time again. Clean, fresh minty taste, doesn't burn your mouth or tongue, basically a great mouthwash for everyone in your home. The active ingredient in this mouthwash is the same as much more expensive brands making this a great deal comparatively. It doe burn my tongue slightly, but that doesn’t bother me at all. What is very bothersome is the blue coloring which creates a weird goo in the mouth. An internet search indicates that colorant in mouthwash binds with bacteria creating this goo. Ew. I have tried other brands that have the same active ingredient and no colorant and did not have this issue. So it does seem to be the dye. If Amazon would make a color-free version, this would be a perfect rinse at an unbeatable price. Read more

Even some very basic research will show you that this product works as well as Crest or Listerine. I actually prefer the taste of this compared to their alcohol-free products. However, like most alcohol-free rinses, you are not going to get the "intense" or "deep" tingle that you will from those with alcohol. To some folks, this is great--it's the whole point. To others, it's a disappointment. All that said, for a non-alcoholic product, I think it has a relatively "bold" impact, for lack of a better term. In terms of fresh breath, it actually leaves you with a much more minty mouth rather than a "sanitized" smell or feeling . . . to me (and the people on the receiving end) that's a good thing. Again, it's all about your desires & expectations. I have a hunch that anyone considering buying this understands what they will & will not feel or taste with a non-alcoholic mouthwash vs. one with alcohol, but for those who don't . . . just be prepared for a far less "intense" experience. Always used the same mouthwash - Walmart brand Antiseptic (blue bottle). Wasn't able to get it, so I tried this. The taste is different, but not bad. I'd say it's actually better. My usual brand is antiseptic with a capital A, lol! Very harsh - but I kind of liked that, lol! This Amazon brand is antiseptic but with a little less "bite" and a more pleasant taste. I have all four of my wisdom teeth in, and am unable to get them removed. They're fine most of the time, but every now and then the gums around them get really inflamed and sometimes lacerated if I eat the wrong thing when they're really swollen. I use this to prevent infection during those times. The mouthwash itself works great. Its done well to prevent my gums from getting infected, doesn't burn, and the "blue stain" it leaves behind on the teeth isn't that big of a deal (blue evens out yellow stains, so it might even be helping some people!), and it tastes great while you're swishing; a very light refreshing mint flavor. However, this is where the problem I have with this mouthwash starts. While it tastes fine while you're swishing, afterwards is a different story. It leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth after a few minutes post-swish that lingers for upwards of an hour. The first time I used this mouthwash, I had used it and then started washing my face. I started to taste something awful and thought I somehow got face wash in my mouth accidentally and tried to rinse the taste out with water, but it wouldn't go away. The next day, I brushed my teeth and used the mouthwash again this time not washing my face afterwards, and the same thing happened. It was then I put two and two together that it was actually the mouthwash itself. So functionally I can recommend this mouthwash. It does what it sets out to do and does it well. If you can get past the bitter aftertaste, definitely go for it. If you're really picky or sensitive to certain tastes, maybe look for an alternative. Read more
