Vaseline is just Vaseline. I don’t have much experience with different brands, but I bought this one specifically to moisturize my cat’s nose because it gets dry sometimes. She doesn’t really let me apply it, and I don’t see any noticeable improvement in how “moisturized” her nose looks. I also heard that Vaseline isn’t supposed to actually hydrate anything — it just sits on top. I also use it on my hands and on my heels after steaming them. No “wow” effect. Just a basic household product. And yes, I also use it for the thermometer when I check my cat’s temperature — for that purpose, it works perfectly.
