This keyboard does exactly what it's supposed to do at a great price. The keys are responsive and comfortable to type on for extended periods. Full-sized layout with numpad is perfect for work and general use. It's plug-and-play with no setup needed - just works immediately. Build quality is surprisingly good for the price. It's durable, feels solid, and the keys don't feel cheap or mushy. Can't beat the value for a reliable wired keyboard. Highly recommend for anyone needing a no-frills keyboard that works well. If you're looking for a simple, no-frills keyboard that gets the job done, this is a great choice. For under $10, it offers everything you need—reliable connectivity, decent durability, and even convenient volume control features. After using high-end gaming keyboards that wore out after a couple of years, I decided to switch back to something basic. This keyboard has been a pleasant surprise in terms of performance and value. The only downside is that it's fairly flat and doesn’t come with a height adjustment feature. It would have been even better with adjustable feet for better ergonomics. That said, for just $8, it's hard to complain. Perfect for everyday users who just need a reliable, functional keyboard. Read more

I recently purchased a Cherry "scissors mechanism" keyboard. It's a hefty keyboard, which would lead one to believe that it's well-built, sturdy, etc. "German Engineering Prowess" is top blurb on its Amazon page! After about a month of use I accidentally knocked it off my desk and it dangled by its USB cord for about 3 seconds. After that the keyboard cable would intermittently short the USB bus leading to very confusing symptoms (took a fair while to diagnose and then suddenly remember the "dangle incident"). That was it for that keyboard! Worst of all, I contacted Cherry and they will not sell/send a USB cord replacement. So, I ordered this Amazon keyboard and it turns out that 1) It's much less expensive than the Cherry; 2) I like the key-action, displacement, click-sound, etc, better; 3) It's much lighter than the Cherry so I'm suspecting that if it accidentally slides off the desk it won't damage the USB cable; and 4) It's actually easier to clean than the Cherry. Do yourself a favor and get this keyboard, it's a tremendous value. And value is the name-of-the-game, or should be. Read more

It is a good, basic keyboard and a very good price. The "bumps" on the F and J keys could be a little more pronounced so that it would be easier to find the "home" position. It works well and was easily connected to my computer. I prefer wired devices due to my location. Read more

The Amazon Basics Wired QWERTY Keyboard has been a great purchase. I love how smooth the typing feels, and every key press is very consistent. It is full sized, comfortable to use, and it works great for everyday typing and school work. It connected right away with no issues, and it feels very solid for the price. I am very happy with this keyboard and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a simple, reliable, and smooth typing experience. Read more

I am NOT easy on this keyboard, at all, and yet somehow it functions amazingly even a long while after purchasing. It fits directly on my laptop edge perfectly which works out well as my laptop keyboard no longer works (which is admittedly my fault). I use it for gaming, I used it throughout my college career for essays, presentations, group work, and so much other writing it should probably be worn down or at least have some of the keys missing color. But nope! This little trooper has stuck through and through. The only small issue is it is a bit more difficult to clean than other keyboards I've owned, but a bit more is something I'm absolutely willing to put up with for the disability and resilience.
