I have two daughters and we just purchased a second round of these. They can be worn with leggings, capris, bike shorts, cardigans. My girls are average sized & they fit nicely in the arms & leave a little wiggle room in the waist. They also hit right above the knee. I think they would work well for girls of many different shapes and sizes. They shrink up a little after many washings/dryings (this may not be an issue if you line dried these) - we noticed this mostly in the length. The main thing I like about this dress is that it is Amazon Essentials and I should be able to buy year round. It's very difficult to find a red polo style dress once the back to school phase has ended, unless you want to pay at least double this price. The red faded a bit faster than another brand, but just barely. Great wide dress for those with a little extra belly. My child typically wears a 10-12 The Children's Place/Old Navy or a size 8 Target Cat & Jack (they shrink a little), and this is on par with the 10-12 The Children's place/Old Navy sizing. Great value for the money but the quality is lacking. They are very thin, and the color is faded out of the package. I washed them according to the instructions before my daughter wore them and they faded the first time. I wish I just sent them back. I ordered the 4T and they do seem to be true to size. Read more
