Fit sizing was pretty good. Rides a little low in the crotch. Otherwise a good fit. The material is quite thick, more like canvas than denim, but it does stretch, so it's not uncomfortable. Overall, a solid pair of everyday pants, especially if you get them on sale. Read more

Finding jeans that you like at the right price isn't easy. The stitching and other workmanship of the Amazon Essentials line in different styles is good with no errors or missing stitching. Weight is similar to national brands so they're likely to not wear out faster. The Dark Midnight Wash is slightly lighter than Levi's. Think the darkest blue Levi's that have been through a few wash cycles where the front has started to lighten. The fit is what I would call a skinny jean and not a slim. I'm 5'11" and 160 lbs. I usually wear a 34x30 in Levi's. Those hang from my hip and I sometimes need a belt. I ordered 33x30 in the Amazon Essentials so aside from the waist I would expect them to be relatively the same. Levi's 511 is my go to for a button down shirt, leather shoes, and a blazer. The 511 is slim fit and doesn't hug anywhere. These slim fit jeans hug at the knee and calf muscle (13.5" circumference). They are so tight they don't hang straight which leads to a lot of straightening when getting dressed. Levi's 511 is the clear winner for fit. The Amazon jeans win on price. Levis 511 have a 7" leg opening laying flat while the Amazon slim jeans have 6.75". They're smaller at the ankle and the taper is tighter starting above the knee. After looking at the specs for the skinny jeans, they have a 6.75" leg opening and the ones I received are closer in measurement to the skinny variety than slim. The Amazon Athletic-fit ones I ordered are true to size. As others have noted they are tight around the knee and below. I'm rating 3 stars since these should be advertised as skinny jeans or the quality control at the factory should have put them in the skinny jeans bin for labeling. Read more

I'm only giving these a 4 because I had to return because were too slim. Most slim fits at least have a bit of looseness in leg-these were tight even on a very slim person. So just know that-if you're looking for tight leg area slim, you've found them. If you need a bit more room in leg or like it little bit looser than go with regular fit. Read more
